I have a mk5 6n2 engine and gearbox from a 1.4 8v engine with wiring loom and ecu if people needed. The engine is in perfectly fine working order, requires a flush as it sounds tappety but all of the mk5 engines seem to sound tappety. It requires an airbox, or i have a GTI airbox that i am willing to chuck in if the buyer wants. Has everything needed just to drop in.....with 64k miles. The Ecu wil be included with this.

The gearbox was a refurb about 15k ago and works better than the gearbox new.....feels a very smooth and free flowing gearbox.

It is attached to the engine and i would rather sell it as a whole, but if i have to split the gearbox then i will prob end up just skipping the engine.

The loom is missing a couple of the plugs, basically cos we needed to splice them into another loom but this shouldnt pose a problem at all getting that sorted!!

Not after that much, but i know fresh gearbox refurbs regularly go for £400+, so bare in mind i am selling the box and engine, ecu and loom so no silly offers please!

note: i am in aberdeen and delivery is definitely not on the cards.....best bet would be to get a van and pick it up, i have acrane and would be more than willing to help you out with loading. If you want a courier, please organise it yourself and i will get it ready for pick up.

Will try and get up to the garage and get a shot of it, but in all honesty, just looks like any normal gearbox to be honest :p

Yeh i'll go with that mate.

This engine and box has just came out mate, and hasnt been fitted since being in its original car.....since it made way for a GTI engine

But anyway, no it wont be awkward to fit at all. Its ready to slot straight in pretty much

yeh mate, i would take 250 if you collected or arranged your own courier, would prob be at a cost of 50 quid since its not that heavy an engine and its not although its complete opposite ends of the country.

I cant call your mobile since i am offshore.

The gearbox would hook straight on and was refurbed about 12k ago, so thats a big bonus! And saves a hell of alot of money if your one did eventually go.
