Help with Vag Com

Hi,

i'm having trouble working vag com, it reads fault codes but does not tell me what is wrong and does not communicate with most controllers. like for example my epc light is on so i tried to communicate with the engine control module and this error message pops up. Also another quick question my car is idleling at 800-900 rpm and is pretty juddery when stationary could this be the reason why the epc light is on?

forgot to mention that i'm using version 409-1 and i'm using this cable from Ebay
