2001 (51 Plate) rear wiper motor HELP!

I own a 2001 51 plate Polo (don't know whick MK).

I needed to fit a new rear wiper motor, because my motor melted when it caught fire!

1) When I went to a genuine parts store, they said they were unable to find one for a Polo, only for a Golf - which looks the same. Is this because it is a common part?

2) What order should the wiring be, in the plug to connect the wiring loom to the motor?

I have 4 wires, a Brown wire, a Brown/Yellow wire, a Black/Yellow wire and a Green/Red wire.
