my cd player has stopped working!

hi all, i decided today that i would pull out my cd player so that i could put the usb wire from the back somewhere else (was leading to under dash by fan controls and decided to put back by din slot). then after putting all the plugs back in, theres no power going to the unit. i've checked the wires leading to it and they seem ok, i've tried my old cassette player, and that doesnt work. please can someone give me any ideas on what to do:

my car i a mk5 1.0E, and since the last time i have unplugged the cd player, i've had a clifford alarm, so not sure if thats the cause, any suggestions would be appreciated because at the moment i have no sound :(

PROBLEM SOLVED, I OVER REACTED, ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS CHECK THE FUSEBOX, IT WAS BLOWN LOL:-D
