Looks like the hard work has certainly paid off.

Not really into all the flushed panelwork/shaved handles and flake paintwork (I do love the base colour though), but you don't need to worry about my old fashioned opinions!

You have done a fantastic job mate, the results really are beginning to show. Well worth all the effort.

Keep up the good work.

looks awesome matey...absolutely lovin it,bet you well pleased arent you?? :)

yer, feel quite proud that i did it all myself instead of paying and I'm looking forward to the show season. Its taught me so much, and i know exactly what not to do so i can make my next car something to be even more proud of. I still would like to swap the engine for a GT on bike carbs just to make it a tad more peppy and for the sound 8-) . But i dont want to spend much money as this is a budget project, seein as I'm a student  cheers for all the positive comments, helps me keep pushin to get it all done. :-D

If you're a student then forget the GT engine cause your insurance will fly and let's face it.... the student life involves the following extremely important investments to keep you alive:-

- alcohol

- bread

- bacon

- butter

- mayonnaise

washed down with alcohol!!

You dont need to GT it it's too cool looking for anyone to diss the speed lol. Nice work

very nice!

Just Wow!!

when u smoothed the boot did u weld metal to replace the boot handle or did u just fill it? I'm having problems figureing this out.

btw thats an amazing project the paintwork is mint. how did u make it so metallic?

Any decent engine shots? :unibrow:

Weld in or the filler will crack in a year or so .

Good to see you are doing the work yourself . Tidy Mk3 you have there

everything is welded in, not a good idea to use filler bud, get the metal as close to perfect b4 filling blocking i used as little filler as possible. My advice b4 doing body work is to read as much relevent material as is possible b4 starting, i learnt alot whilst going along but its a bit late then lol! I dont think i have anymore engine bay shots, ill get some up soon though i think cos i just finished heat wrapping my exhaust. cheers 4 the comments guys.

I used a metal flake in the 1st stage of laquer. Made by alsa-called a crystal pearl apparently  silver mettalic. Not a great rolling shot as my bro was driving lol but the paint looks cool :retard: :
