My gf has a 1.4 16v (97) and the gearknob has basically lost its top so needs replacing.

I've found this one:

The description says:

6N / 6N2 gear knob

Polo five speed replacement Leathrette Gear knob for all Polos 6N from 95 - 01 and 6N2 01 - 02 has a dimpled finish and includes the boot

Having taken a look at the gearknob in the car, its not the same, so my question is, will this fit? Do they have a generic fitment across the range?
