Funny story about the word gopher......

A radio station were doing a phone in competition for a chance to go on a safari thing on a day time show

The rules were, using a word that relates in someway to an animal of anykind (could actually be the animals name too) you have to use that word in a sentence that had NOTHING to do with animals.....

First caller rings in..

DJ. Hello, youre through to blah blah shit bollocks radio station, do you understand the rules? and what is your word?

First Caller. Hi there, i do understand and my word is gopher

DJ. *laughs* ok, using the word gopher *laughs somemore* make a sentence that has nothing to do with animals *says to his collegues, "this is going to be fun"*

FC. (hard to type this, just read it fast) gopher uck yourself

There is a huge silence then a dialing tone as the DJ cut of the guy

After a song the DJ comes back and appolagises to the listeners, he then warns future competitors that bad language will NOT be tollerated

The phone rings again

DJ. Hello, youre through to blah blah shit bollocks radio station, do you understand the rules? please remember that this is a daytime show, and what is your word?

SC. Good afternoon, yes i understand, (then goes on about the rudeness of the last caller) and my word is smee

DJ. *laughs* Smee?!! well I've never heard of the word smee, and cant see how it relates to an animal?? (they must of done some imediate research) ahh thats right, its a way of describing a cats presence and appearance. Ok, for a chance of winning a once in a lifetime safari trip, using the word smee, make a sentence that has nothing to do with animals

SC. Smee again, gopher uck yourself

 if only radio had a face

What do you mean you haven't even thought about it?? a big jumper??? I'm going with the "not very much" option and the alcohol will keep me feeling warm and fuzzy, that's my plan anyway! Hope it works!

Alternatively I'll go in my thermals with diamante trim!

Can't wait!!!!

Lol i often go for the not very much approach but it gets me in trouble lol. Nah I'm thinking i know what I'm wearing have gone through my wardrobe. Alcohol to keep you warm is a very good plan. I now need to work out who is going to accompany me for train ride purposes...oh and also tell the boyfriend I'm going out...that may not go down too well :S unless he is off work and then he may as well take on the role of my carer lol.

  • Author

Sounds like you are planning on a few drinks then if you are going to need a carer! Bring him along if he's not working. didn't he used to come to the meet? unless you will have more fun without him? Its up to you but all are welcome!

I doubt the "not very much" option will get me in trouble, maybe it would have in my younger days - oh heck now I know I am getting OLD! Yes I can hear you laughing in the background Fat Stig :-(

Lol yea he did...then he went jap tut tut. In fact we are picking up his new car tomorrow..he could have had an audi but no :( probably because he has spolit me rotten lately though haha (if buying your weekly shopping counts as a present haha)

Lol no i just mean a carer to help me find my way home, i have no sense of direction...i will not get too drunk...i refuse to show myself up lol, plus money is tight.

Lol i dont have any fun without him...no comments please anybody rude or otherwise. Lol I'm actually quite sad, on nights out wen I've had a few i just end up showing guys who try to talk to me pictures of him on my phone, and tell them all about him...or flash my ring haha. funnily that really puts guys off

It gets me in trouble coz i get cold, then end up ill lol. Oh and the occasional "you went out wearing what!!!" haha

Right enough female off topic chat, time for some male off topic GRRRRRR *burp!!* and all other manly stuff

Funny story about why you dont get cold on a drunken night out with nothing on, the answer is the drunken blanket

The drunken blanket is a mysterious and magical thing that is also invisible, on a normal night where you wouldnt be drinking you would walk home with next to nothing on and probs turn into an ice cube within feet of your front door yes? well, when youve sat your brain and stomach down and discussed the drunken plans you will be having on a drunken night (so not to give them such a shock) they go behind your back and pack the *drunken blanket* into your bag, then when you down that last glass of wine and head for the door, out pops the drunken blanket and wraps you up nice and snug for the journey home :-D

It was designed by the same company as the "pissed up scooter"

or flash my ring haha. funnily that really puts guys off

that pissed up scooter thing is amazing if its the thing I'm thinking off, which it probably isnt hahahahahahahahhaha

mmm drunken blankets, or curry chunks :ninja:

If its the magical scooter that has the abbility to shrink small enough to fit into your pocket without you knowing about it then yes, were thinking of the same thing :-D

For anyone who doesnt know.....

Ever wondered in the morning how the hell you got home after a night out on the lash? the answer is the "pissed up scooter"

Same with the drunken blanket, knowing youre going to spend all your taxi fare on drinks your brain packs the pissed up scooter into your pocket before a heavy night out

Then when you stumble out of the club/bar/pub and sit on the kerb wondering how youre going to get home, out pops the scooter and magically turns into a full size one, but whilst doing this it hits you on the head so that you pass out and forget about it, then as you fall it rolls underneath you and catches you, then scooters you all the way home, takes the key out of your pocket and opens your door.

Only with the top of the range ones will it also take you upto your bed (it will never undress you though, thats just wrong and sick), if you ever wake up slumped at the bottom of your stairs then youve got a cheap Chineese copy

I think youre thinking about that guy that keeps a fold away scooter in his bag arent you yousaf? he drives you car home and then scooters to the next customer  is that actually true?

it is actually a reality walshie, i wish it was a drawf you could just keep in your spare boot well, so you drive to the pub, get pissed, open your boot, punch the midget and make him drive you home, he'll also make a handy tyre should you need a spare

awwwsham 8-) hook a breda up with contact details hombre 8-)

er okey dokey then, now completely lost, I just hope the drunken blanket keeps me warm that night and I must remember to pack one of those scooters too
