Whats the best size tyres to run on a mk3? I'm on standard suspension at the moment but I'm looking at dropping it 80mm. Will 185/55 be ok?

195/45/14 if you are going that low, the 55 profile will scrub.

i wouldnt suggest 195/45s if you plan an 80mm drop, unless your getting some serious arch work done. are teardrops 6jx14? i would recommend 175/50/14 pirelli p6000s, that what i use on my Pslots. not stretched but a nice curved sidewall, good grip and they last pretty good too. mytyres.com

If your rim is 6j wide..wich i believe it will be, then your going to need a rather narrow tyre aswell as low profile one mate.

Id suggest a 155,55 tyre as it gives the most ammount of stretch possible on a 6j rim., again these are available on www.mytryes.co.uk
