the only thing you need to worry about is keeping its structural integrity... creasing floorplans/roofskins or pillars is a no-no if its a side-on impact. end-on, most of the time they were pulled straight again.

Epic mate! youve got your work cut out to get her straight again but I reckon it'll be doable to complete the season.

well this weekend I have removed the engine and box. and put standard straight front legs,arms and antiroll bar to get her rolling again.

this has all been done as she is off to the profesionals to be straightend. good news is when she is back she will have the new engine in.

I'm thinking of putting standard arches back on now i have to repaint the car and change alot of panels.

reason for i havnt got used to them being there and keep tapping them in the tight bends so slowing me down i think.

reason for keeping she looks amazing and I'm sure i will get used to it.

Id say keep because of how good it looks

But if they are impractical and stand a chance of being ruined again, is there any point?

thinking with my head: ditch them its just gonna be more hassle, say you have a small shunt and kill a front wing you then have the hassle of having to repair/track down another one apposed to just getting a new wing and painting it.

thinking with the rest of my body: keep them they looks so cool!

and i think a harlequin is a must!

Does the 'berg have a wider track? Providing the wheels will stay inside stock arches, i'd say leave them as stock - the problem with rallying is that you don't work on "if" you have a shunt, you work on "when" you have the next one! Then get some moulds made so you can make some out of GF if you want to put them back on. At least GF is relatively easy to sort out

it may be cheaper if i had to pay for the repair but its being done for an advert on the car. also this way is alot quicker than building another shell

well she has gone to be fixed and apparently when she comes back she will be like new.

I was so happy to see that this is being repaired! : )

well she is having a bit of an overhall with a new engine and suspension setup all tested and set up bythe people reparing the car and i told them i wanted it ready by the christams stages in december

i am in the process of carrying out the AFH into a mk3 vehicle, would you be able to take pictures of the ignition items i need to complete my conversion.

from the FAQ section you have said the coil, dizzy, ignition amp and wiring, but what do you mean by the ignition amp? is it the item you have screwed to the plenum tray/rain tray on the right hand side by the fuse box and black box? you have a good picture in post number 210, am i right in assuming that is what you are refering to?

good luck with the car, is this what you do for a living? or just a hobby? i applaude you.

decided when she is back i wont be running berg arches just modified standard wings as I wont knock them all the time so wiill be able to go faster. I'm still looking for 2 new rear wings or good ones cut out of a scrap car any one have anything?
