yet its a spill catch thing then it drains it off as it will be inside the car.

Wow dunno if i could justify spending that much money on a car thats worth say £400 but fairplay mate this will be a sick ride in the end!

This car is not a £400 car, a lot of cars on here are just for driving around the streets. Few cars have a specific job to do, this one has................ its a competition car, with MSA specifications to meet, and has personal goals and specific objectives built into it ............. that all costs, if you do it right.

I was looking at the SM engineering site a while back, pondered on the idea of getting them to make a catch tank.

How did you find them?

he is a good bloke lives up the road to my dad and where I grew up top quality products would recomend him.

He is on a six week holiday now.

I got my bike carbs with manifold back from bogg bross today.

I also had my fourbranch late last week so I set to setting it up in the car today to see how

much room I had for my Bias bedal box. and there is plebty of room. So thats good but I

will need a scoop on the bonnet as the carbs sit quite high.

so now its time to finish the bias bedal box then the shell is finished so final paint and build engine and box then

put it all together.

looking cool...! what sort of power do you think the engine will be putting out? what bike are those carbs from?

same as above really but what are you doing to the gearbox to keep that intact, obviously it wont last standard with the mods your doing...

if i get around the 150 bhp I will be happy.

as for the gearbox in my old car I used to smash the diffs to bits so I bought a limited slip diff which solved my problems and the it will be rebuilt with new bearings and syncros and that should hopefully take it if it doesnt then I will have to reconsider and look at getting a straight cut box from germany.

thats cool there the other thread running about I'm unsure of what the name of the bloke thats done it but basicaly did what you did at the start and got 150bhp from that, but hes running an ex rally car gearbox you probily know who it is... would hate to run that route lol

was looking at m45 my polo but was put off by the idea because of the gearbox and i dont have much garage time to sort these thing, so for me i would be better with something more reliable...

no I havnt seen that thread. my gearbox got thrashed with 120bhp 3f motor on the last rally I did and it held up fine but with the extra power I dont know it was driveshafts I had problems with kept snapping them.

as for the carbs forgot to say in my last post they are gsxr 600 carbs.

cool... there was a guy i met who was bolting on a ko3 was a bodge job but he was basicaly hoping for about 180bhp and jus strapped the box on and would see how it goes... as he had a spare... good way to find out suppose and if you have a spare box lol...

well after building any new competiton car you get teething problems So i dont expect it to be plain sailing for the 1st season while I iron out the problems. lol the upper hand I have is that I rallied a polo for 4 years and got that one good in the end just needed more power. haha

I've been watching this since you started fella and haven't said how impressed i am! If i was more than a lowly 18 year old trying to scrape around to afford a decent road car this would be my idea of a project!

I love the idea of rallying and i hope to be able to give it a go in the future with a car like this.
