if you are driving it in just over 3 weeks, you've got a few late nights coming your way. keep the updates coming, the cars an inspiration.

well I'm going to take two weeks off to finish the car

Great thread! I remember when u bought this and the pikey stuff hardchargin' had done to it!

Apologies if i missed it but what colour is it? It going to be so tidy when its done I don't think I would want to go rallying in it lol!

Respect.

well I'm going to take two weeks off to finish the car

thats what i call, getting your priorities right!

the colour is a commercial paint and for lorries and things like that alot cheaper than car paint and alot tuffer. £150 for all the undercoast and paint. 5lts of undercoat, 3of white and 2 of blue. not bad really.

I know but it was built for rallying so thats she will do.

rally car 1st

work 2nd haha

simply amazing :)

cheers well I'm starting my just over two weeks off 2day so lets hope it goes well.

Cant offer much in the way of advice, just enjoying the topic.. popcorn.gif ..but the trumpets on my carbs were higher than the turret caps at one point (spark plug clearance issues with 8v) and i simply raised the bonnet an inch at the standard hinges. And id have used an alloy cylinder block. Otherwise,i can only join in the envy..

Good luck getting it finnished mate .

Going to be one stressfull two weeks .

Dont rush anything though you want to keep up the build quality ..

its the easy part now. haha

love this thead, great car your building there mate good luck with the rest of the build,

just a suggestion about the dash as people were saying carbon... just get the standard one flocked like other rally cars

  • Author

flocking the dash is an idea but I havnt got time for that or the patients. lol

Flockings a great idea as it stops reflections of the dash on to the windscreen!

i have an electrostatic flocking mini machine that i am waiting to be delivered so i can do mine and get the best Finnish possible!

or Flocking service
