MK4 POLO SMOOTH BAY 16V ON CARBS

Featured Replies

WOW! good work buddy! The engine bay looks sooooo good! One question though, i got the same powerflex bushes for my wishbones, how did you get the rears in?? Powerflex say you dont need a press! I got one edge of mine taken down by an engineer in the end so i could push them in one side! I'm sure they're not doing a proper job now though, if you could let me know how you got yours in i will buy some more and get them fitted properly! (i actually thought they'd sent me the wrong ones till i just saw this!!) cheers and keep up the good work bud!! :)

  • i know what you mean with the filler mate i do it myself, i tend to do it more when weather is a bit cold so it goes off quicker but i hate it when your just in the middle of a skim and it sets it pis

  • Can't wait to see it once you've got it all finished, paint job looks brilliant you've certainly got skills, are you bringing it to the Polo Show

my mate works at audi and i had him use the press on mine mate wouldn't of gone in without. dunno what the hell powerflex are on about, do they have the worlds strongest man working for them lol, idiots lol

yeah tell me about it!! oh well i guess its more money out of the bank account then for a new set!! :) Any idea how much it costs to have them pressed in?? (if you dont have a mate that works for audi obviously!!) :) Dont know how they can advertise them as 'not needing a press to put them in' when you obviously do!! :x

i dunno how much it would be mate but you could always try taking your wishbones and bushes to a main dealer an ask if they can do um as a favour maybe

Haha unlikely with the dealers round my way! Cheers for your help though bud! Hopefully see you at some shows next year! :)

my parts are stuck at shotblasters because of this bloody snow and i can't do nothing "annoying"

hold ups ftl lad :(

I dont mean to be mean but the rest of your car looks kinda crap compared to this Bay dude lol. Its just insane and amazing work. The rest of your car will need your work to be on the same kinda level as this bay is :)

oh that will be nice :) i think the only thing that makes me not like the outside is the all smoothed front bumper just my personal opinion that i hate that on any polo its just me.

i think if it wasnt smoothed i would love this even more :)

i can't change the front bumper i love it too much and its not completely smooth it still has the middle grille
