Gooood stuff. What's the stud pattern then? Were the Zenders actually on the hub?

Oh - 12s eh? 165/60 A539s :D

I think they are Mini fitment cause they were slightly off, but not by much.

I think because it has drums all round we might try and pikey some mk2 Golf hubs onto it, since we have a spare set

I had a feeling that they were 4x4"...

Pikeying is the only way!

Can you flip the rear axle?

  • Author

I think you can, I hope you can! If not, something else pikey will have to be done...

lol been off the road for 14 years according to my nosey on the dvla site.

I also had to take a nosey at retro rides. They actually don't care that you removed the roof

In that case, there will be 27 on the road soon, lol. But only 1 pick up 8-)

Mick wants to put a Mini front end on it and I think hes a loser and a douche for thinking that. The front end it has no pimps! You never see Rebels, but you always see Mini's. Far more unique as a Rebel!

Link us to the DVLA stuff dewd, does it tell you the engine size? Want to know if its a 600 or 700 cc

Yeah Mini front end sounds silly.

Although, a flip front Clubman front end

what have you done

you so need to put a big bike engine in it, get that chassis twisting 8-)

0-50 in 15 seconds for the 700cc doesn't seem too bad... until you realise the top speed is 65 mph lol. The 750 must be a fair bit better with 10% more power and torque.

Reliant 850 swap would be a good plan I think!

And it's a shame you didn't get an earlier tax exempt one :(

shame? man they sodamised it, if they had done that to an even rearer one the streets would run red with the blood of the inferdels when the north east section of the Reliant owners club got hold of them

"streets would run red with the blood of the inferdels" reminds me of Monkey Dust

Its ugly as hell, it deserves to be a pick up!

:o that brown lupo looks soooooooooooo goooooooood

i agree it looks sweet :-)

I agree with Panda here, drop a Hayabusa turbo engine in the back and convert the bonnet to the boot!! :)

Why put the engine in the back? Then we wouldn't be able to use it as a pick up because there'd be a huge hole in the floor where the engine lives. Plus its front engine rear wheel drive anyway.

I didnt know it was RWD. Nice one........ serious bout the engine tho..... bike engine?! :D Rev the shit out of it any time u want!! Didnt know it was gona be a pickup. Cool. Keep us updated!!

P.S. whats the Hoopty Tech Garages colour scheme?

Could have been the last one in the country for all I care but at £20 I was chopping the roof off no matter what!!

Reliant, owners, oooo, sound scary

I like your style!

Well I don't know squat about bike engines but Mick reckons its doable. I'm going down the unit tomorrow, dunno if we can do anything though. Might try and flip the axle and chop the front springs  Hopefully get those Minilites on.

you should be able to get a decent mini engine in there if the bike engine is out of the question and it could produce some decent figures just as the bike engine could

Sod mini engines - 1.8 VVT K-series for the fucking win

well a mini engine (around the 1380 size) with a k1100 motorbike head and a turbo bolted on is all the fun anyone could want
