Well i took my golf to Bogg Bros on saturday for a carb set up as the bloody thing was painfully slow, so after the old geeza had tinkered for an hr or so he decided to run it on the rollers , but its too low and the wheels were just spinnin across the top of the rollers.He told me to take it up the road for a blast. Bugger me, i could not believe the difference.I came back grinning like a cheshire cat.

Its now an ANIMAL. I am very impressed with its performance and power delivery.. BIG shout to Mr Bogg.

how much quicker would you say it is anyone able to guesstimate with mods to the engine?

Thanks for the great replies, as for the engine its stock apart from Yamaha FZS600 carbs ans my homebrew manifold.. Throttle response is amazing. A pal of mine has a 6n 16v AFH and i would say there is no comparison on the response of mine, bearing in mind i have no cat either, but i only have a stock 1.1 exhaust on at the mo, till friday. Its very good on fuel too considering. Wouldnt mind a pair of cams and vernier pulleys next.

P.S. I dont mind anyone using the pics.

how much do carbs normally retail for?

i thought you had verniers until you mentioned not having them, just simply because i noticed the cam belt cover being not there with the pulleys on show, i presumed they were verniers!

cool work none the less! i imagine with a change in exhaust it will pick up some more!? sweeeeeeeeet!
