:: New Battery Time ::

Featured Replies

Hey lads,

My car seems to be jump started more times than the price of petrol increases monthly... loads of places giving me different advice, some people say its my alternator, some say i have a leak somewhere... some say my battery is totally OK... but the AA chaps seem to think its DEFO my battery... I've had my alternator checked by a specialist and he says its charging fine..and MAYBE its a dud cell

after a jump start and the car warmed up a bit... the car restarts fine... its just if i leave ANYTHING on for a couple of mins, my batterys flat... or if i dont drive the car daily, it will kick up a fuss

the last time it went dead, the charge was 12.07V which the AA chap said was crap, and his tool said my battery was knackered... another time it said it was 2.4V :s anyway I'm gettin a new battery, i had an uprated 65mAH (whatever the syntax is) Bosch Silver... anyone got anything better or shall i stick with Bosch Silver? for ~£40-45 as the standard is 45mAH
