is it the correct dizzy?

Right have just found out they have put wrong the distributor on it, would this have caused any damage to engine/ecu? Would this cause it to not start? It was running really badly before the distributor was changed by all accounts, still have the old one in the boot (worth sticking back on?) Dont wanna start spending loads of money on this just to find out the problem is somewhere else... eurocarparts just quoted £112 for another (and thats trade price!!)

Anyone?

try a new air flow meter?

Do you know anyone with a spare dizzy that you can borrow to test?If the hall sender in the dizzy has gone down the engine ecu wont activate the primary side of the coil.

If you have a 12v test light you can check the hall sender.
