New rear lights for my 6kv

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, havn't posted on here for a while but here goes, I need some advice!

This is my 6kv which I got last year:

Basically, the rear lights are 'gash' and I did lots of research on the internet to find some replacements. As far as I am aware, there are only two alternative rear lights made for this model. One I couldn't find, but the other I found while surfing some German Dub Forums. They come from Brazil and look very smart, apparently they were made for a special version of the 6kv that came out in Argentina.

I actually imported a pair from Brazil. The company is called ARTEB and they have very good customer service. Unfortunately, the lights do not 'plug in and play' to my polo. There is a different sized connector that is required and ARTEB have no clue what connector is needed to plug the tail lights into my car. As well as this, the new lights have an additional fog light and reverse light that I would love to have my car re-wired for.

Do garages do re-wiring and order connectors for lights? Bearing in mind I live in East Sussex, does anyone know garages that do this kind of thing? I was thinking of taking it to VW because theoretically, its an OEM product but I've got a feeling they wouldn't get their hands dirty on something like that.

Any ideas?

Help much appreciated.

Nice Loon! Very smart...

What wheels were you running?

And engine?

I've got the lights now so I'm def gonna get it re-wired but I wonder if garages do that sort of thing???? I'm no good at electrics.

bbs rm 7.5x15 and 8.5x15

sdi motor in it

i imagine a garage would charge quite alot for doing it cos it will be time consuming

I like those lights alot Mike!

Would it be the equivalent of spraying 16v mk4 lights with a red tinting spray?
