You sound like an utter knob with no consideration for your own or other motorists safety. Good way to introduce your self to a site "Hi...my car is a death trap and I drive like a bell...so look I crashed, fancy that?"

Hello, you're a fucking judgemental idiot who's talking out of his arse. Mind your own business and don't bother to give out scrappy comments like them in any of my threads. Try changing your name from Tav to T what...

Ditched at about 35's got to be a bendy outcome! I almost respect your mad improvised-rallying on 4 odds! From the pics it looks like you could probably spend a shedload on this and it would still never be right, surely more money and effort than it's worth. It would probably just be disappointing in the end. If the chassis is bent at all there's very little chance it will ever feel right again, and who would buy it when it came time to sell it! Cat D standard? No way! Anyways, i'm hardly an expert, good luck whatever you decide!

And gentlemen, i am almost sure there's no chassis damage or roof damage. It's all cosmetic damage tbh.. However, for safety sake i will get the car checked out properly by a reputable person... First information i'll find it damage to the "A frame" and Chassis.

It's my first car which i am still paying for.. i don't give a monkeys how much it'll cost to fix, but i want the damnned car back on the road and zipping about like it old self. I'm not going to deny i was a tool for driving the car in such circumstances, however at the time i really needed to.. Ironicaly late on the way to work i took it off road.

It came off road and still slowed right down, before it got stopped.

Stopped by a tree trunk on the floor and another tree trunk (both not fat or chunky but mid sized and dead wood) laying in between two trees... [Think of it like a rugby goal post, with another goal post on the floor and the centre mid post in a lower diagonal position...).

I'm hopeful, once i get the log and key back i should be able to progress with getting it checked out. In the mean time, i know this is going to sound cheeky, but could you guys kindly help me look for a mk4 red vw polo that's breaking... I located one in Mancs but the guy doesn't want to reply back to me... So red Mk 4 Polo body parts...

i'm not going to apologise for my silly driving. End of the day no one was hurt, only me involved (though potentially another silver mondeo i steered away from). I'm not boasting by any means, it's a lesson learnt - and a very harsh one too. I'm not condoning it but i don't dismiss the experience either. It's not a situation i'd like to be in again,or wish on anyone. If i hadn't have had such a bad and dangerous accident, that by some greater luck was isolated, then maybe i'd not learn the value of a car, way to drive properly - safely and sensibly and still be zooping around like a boy fucking racer...

SO i'm grateful for the scary experience and even greater in thanks for being able to live and tell my story and to learn from my experience :)

tbh, all it takes is a police officer to read this thread and see your accident, your admitted to dangerous driving with 4 illegal tyres and basically send a warrent out for your arrest. It has been done on other forums....

In my opinion the polo in question isnt worth the hassle of rebuilding. The damage is far too extent and is basically beyond repair. Cut your loses and save for a new one, for a few hundred pounds you will have exactly what you had before.

Oh and coming on an established vw forum, taking criticsism badly and being rude isnt the way to go. Listen to people who are more experienced than you and take in their advice. If you cant take in peoples opinions, dont post.....

I'm pleased you learnt your lesson, next time you may not be so lucky.......

LOL at this thread. It would probably be cheaper to just buy a new car..and less of a headache.

You get whats coming to you if you drive like an utter idiot and you're lucky you didn't harm anyone else in the process. If you had the situation would be a LOT worse and you could be looking at a sentence for driving a car unfit for the road.

Good luck with the car though, you may aswell rebuild it as something else if you're going to rebuild it atall

To be honest mate if the panels have that much damage mate your chassis will be well fucked! It begs the question though why did you have 4 ropey/ghetto tyres on your car in the first place and seeing as it was your first car I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you maybe haven't been driving long (i appologise if I'm mistaken!) therefore why were you chucking it about on back roads in the first place, even more so KNOWING you had 4 dodgy tyres?

Oh and I wouldnt say tav was talking out of his arse when it has anything to do with driving mate...you got an IAM license? Didn't think so

Sorry tav just had to drop that one in there :p

Maybe my first IBTL?

Hello,

Public forum, I'll leave what ever "scrappy" comments I feel are required on "your" thread. It's people like you who cause accidents that lead to younger drivers getting a bad name and people getting hurt. You need an attitude re-adjustment Ostanoob.

IBTLFTW!

if you were/are local id report you.

completely inexcusable

scrap the car. and if you have to drive, get something for £100, dont deserve a car of any value.

sorry to say that

You'l be looking at twice what the car is worth to get that mess sorted mate. it wont just be a case of new panels and hey presto back to normal, looking at that damage there is no way the frame or chassis has not taken some of that impact

it is pretty stupid driving a, that fast on probaly a wet country road and b, knowing your cars pretty faulty and still driving like that,,,its not good driving beyond your limits in a road legal car never mind yours..try and get it fixed up and learn from it,,calm down.

or let me recommend a new vehicle....

Its unlucky you have crashed your car mate . As you have said you admit to driving like a tool . Sounds like you have realised what mistakes you previously made as i bet most "boy racers" do afte they crash a car for the first and hoprfully last time . I would say brake the car and sell it for parts and get yourself another one and start again . I know what its like getting sentimentally attached to a car but at some point it will have to go iff its a sale or a crash . Keep your eyes peeled for a bargin in autotrader or maybee the forsale section on websites like this . I would advise slowing down when driving though mate you dont want to ditch your next car in similar circimstances . Learn form your mistakes

to be fair it doesnt even sound like the guys learnt from his lesson as he says he wants the car "zipping about again" and "i'm not going to apologise for my silly driving. End of the day no one was hurt" WTF? so youre mister pshycic (SP?) now are you...there could of been anyone around that corner and 65 on a country road is ridiculous for any standard car...what an earth were you thinking, really? you also mention a silver mondeo...you steered away from...bullshiiiit i doubt you steered away yourself...more likley to be something called "LUCK"

thats gonna take alot of G3 and rags to hide them scratches mate!

hope you got deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets cos thats not a cheap repair :?

id try specialist breakers, dealers or another car, i wouldnt repair it, maybe sell the b its that still work to cover insuranse excess?

I don't think you're a nob, but your DRIVING definately sounds like it was in the nob arena! Not to worry - everyone drives like a tit at times (apart from a few deity-like beings - you can find them here or there! :-D )

I'm just curious to know - if you can afford all the money to fix this up why didn't you buy yourself some matching tyres?!

Anyhow I know it's shit to be paying out for a knackered car but it's just a machine mate. Don't get attached. It really is most likely to make more sense scrapping it and getting another one! It's the broken windscreen that worries me. If that corner pillar has distorted it's gonna be soooo much work to straighten it out.

idiot :). You sound like a kid who just wants ot make a statement to get noticed.. lol, shoo along and go play with yourself..

And wait till i get the car on the road, i don't plan on selling it for anyone or anything.. i plan on keeping my little car thank you. £10 to heathrow and back (from bedford) sounds too good to resist - have u SEEN petrol prices these days?

Meh, log book on way, key gona be made straight after that and my car will be on the road soon :) End of January or Feb is my target. I'm then going to spruce it up to make it more sturdy and stylish...

ANd yes steering and suspension parts are a bit bent...

itll never be right

I'm not gonna say anything about your crash, hey i crashed last winter.

Anyway i really don't think it is worth repairing tbh. From the photos, the way the windscreen broke and the fact that is looks like there isn't a gap anymore between the front wing and door, i think the chassis leg is bent, tbh thats the end of the car.

Your best bet would be to break it, sell the dashboard you just bought, interior and anything from the rear of the car etc etc (I'm sure you know how to break a car).

Your should get enough £ from breaking that as it is a fairly modern car to get yourself something like even a average Mk4 Polo instead.

Thats my view, don't shoot me for saying what i think.

Does anyone remember that peugeot 206 advert set in Asia somewhere. They take a crappy car and going on an advert in a magazine try and turn the car into a 206 by bashing the hell out of it and getting elephants to sit on it and such jazz......

Sad to say but thats what this car will look like when its back on the road...... unless you get lottery funding.

Best bet, start again....... lesson learned.

Alternatively you could look like these boyos!!
