the best thing i missed about college was the state of peoples motors and thier driving mannerisms...

having just passed thier test they would drive too close to other cars, drive too fast, redline thier cars the minute they swtich em on and rag it when fully cold, half of them didnt have enough oil in the cars so they were tapping thier tits off

sounds just like the kid on my course with his corsa vxr, doesn't even let it warm up before redlining it, speeds everywhere then moans when I push the front seat forward to hard to get out. COCK!

That frustrates me too, you need to give a car time to warm up. Mine never goes above 3k until coolant is up to temperature, with the exception of driving at 70 mph when it is just above 3k

I need to make my car go above 3k just to get it started (damn carb) but after that I let it warm up.

I don't know. I did 1800 miles on the 2G with proper thrashing from cold - the Polo was spi so the limiter cut in at 6.5k, but in the Golf it will happily rev to about 8k from cold. And I thrashed the living tits out the Polo ALL the time and the worst that happened was, you guessed it, head gasket failure.

I mean it's not tooooo bad smoothed boot...slatted grill and bbs styleee rims...but all that was done on the lines of smoothing was the boot and i guess the plate was held on by tape....It had potential though..

Yup....they do the proverbial 'lapping' about 5 or 6 times in the high street...i mean when i had my car i would go around once to see if there was any skirt or mates about...but they take the piss!!!!

he raced a vw transporter once i told him not to but the transporter actauly sat on the line waited a good few seconds for teh gashtra to get bout 200yrds away and then thought he would put his foot town at that point it blizted past him thers me in the passenger seat in histerics

funny enough he has nightmares a bout transporters now
