was going to buy a DSLR but then I thought whats the point?

lol with respect there's a world of difference between a photo with a dslr and a phone. depends how much you care at the end of the day and what you call a 'good photo', some people would say as long as it's not blurred and the lightings ok then its goood... you need the magic eye

dslr was the best thing I ever bought too. £360 after cashback.

i agree there's a place for phone cameras when you're out and about without anything better at hand.

If you want it for proper photography then nothing beats and SLR camera. But I'm saying for my needs a phone camera is good enough. I would like an SLR but I can't justify spending that extra money for what for me would be a small gain.

I can take good close ups, take shots from far away and they are nice and clear. Its small and compact so I can take it everywhere.

On the other hand, my girlfriend is a photographer and has looooads of cameras. Different ones for different reasons. IE doing photography work she uses her SLR, if shes out on the piss she has a small digi cam.

Personally first time I used someones dslr I was addicted and amazed at the photo quality. Went n looked for a digital camera straight away, then outgrew it and moved onto an slr.

Yeah it's all about needs same with anything.

I think it's always worth investing in a digi-compact though at least great quality pics and there's always a time you're want a camera for something more, holidays etc n you pick them up rather cheap nowadays..

Took this on my samsung a couple of years ago...beat this for a phone pic...1.3 megapixel...no messing about.

Also have the viewty.....but in all fairness so far dont think the camera is THAT great! Its been ok, but wouldnt say it lives up to the hype of all this 5mp shizzle! Maybe its cos i dont have a clue what settings i should be on lol!

This is one for the viewty owners! To scroll down and up, you use the camera wheel at the back yeh? Does everybody elses scroll up when you push to the right and scroll down when you pull to the left! mines does and that seriously fucks me off! Personally, pushing it to the right should mean it should go down the way!! Annoying anyone else??

Also, if your typing a message, you cant use the bloody camera wheel!!! Yeh there is the wee slider on the side of the screen, but its near on impossible to actually grab and slide it! Another point which annoys me, as i cant bloody go back and look at my message!

Yeh the viewty is good, but there are a couple of totally minor features that could make it so much easier!!
