Haha you crazy phill! Got it from this guy in eastleigh paid 675

0-60 in 2.6 minutes and top speed of 86mph haha.

Not gonna do anything to it apart from maybe get some 60mm springs for the front. Its on 40mm springs at the mo but the backs lower than the front.

Such a Pimp car to be cruising in listening to some old skool tunes are you keeping it once the Golf is done?

ohhh will. i thought you were just going to buy a little shitter, not an awesome german waggon!!

And you know your gunna have a play with it!!! haha

hope to see it at sovag!

nahhh man it needs coilies and rimage! seriously will like you're gonna be able to resist!

Got my eye on some rs's at the mo i no theyve been done to death but they suit a mk1 perfectly.

Its gone at last! Off to its new home for a few months to get some major surgery. Its a really weird feeling seeing your car on the back of a trailor and trusting someone with your pride and joy.

Bye bye for now.......

DSCF9166.jpg

New wheels! again

Went to near stroud this morning to pick these up. Nothing that special but the sizes are a spot on fit for a mk1. 8x14 et 25 front and 9x14 et 15 rear. 195/45/14 tyres all round.

They looked really good on the move on toms mk1 who i got them off.

Probably get them refurbed before they go on. Black centres and a polished lip should do the trick 8-)

Update from tim :-D

Next the wings came off and both were rotten where they met the scuttle panel.

bodyshop16.jpg

bodyshop17.jpg

Lots of surface rust on the underside of the bonnet..

bodyshop18.jpg

But i sorted that out with my trusty die grinder.

bodyshop19.jpg

Along with the usual rust around the rear number plate lights.

bodyshop20.jpg

Bodyshell all stripped and halfway ready to be primered...

bodyshop21.jpg

Today i finished off the bodyshell and painted her in primer..

Cheers for the comments guys.

I went to the bodyshop on sunday to see my car and give tim some money. Its coming on really nicely, tims a real sound bloke aswell so its in safe hands.

It will be done in about 10 days now :-D

Just got some welding to do around the rear arches bit more work on the front panel and the sills and a little section to weld in on the lower rear panel. Also getting a new section from a donor car to weld in to the rusty scuttle and all the arches and getting the lips cut out for a bit of extra room. The new door is on and just waiting on a mint tailgate and wing. Then its all getting sanded and painted and polished etc.

Cant wait to have it back all fresh 8-)

My girlfriend said she would bake him a cake aswell so were gonna take it up when its all sprayed

Heres a few pics i took when i was there.
