Alright guys the cars been a bit slow for the past few weeks as tims been away sunning himself in corsica.

Hes sent me a few pics today. The bodys all painted now I'm chuffed with how its looking so far, all the rest the body parts are being sprayed this week. Then it will all get polished B)

I cant wait to get it back and crack on with the rebuild, it feels like its been off the raod for so long now you start thinking why the feck am i spending all this money when I'm not getting any enjoyment out of it!

I no it will be all good when i get it back though and i can see that all the crap has been worthwhile!

wen i first started reading this i was like " my god thats beautiful" then after a few more pages i was like "this cant get any nicer" and now I'm close to makin a rather large mess in my pants!

absolutly prefect dude, jelously doesnt even cum close to describing!

keep it up, cant wait to see it put back together. And also if your gettin the same side stripes put back perhaps a red line inbetween the 2 silvers, just a thought

Many a time scince I've taken it off the road i thought what the hell am i doing as all my money goes on my car and its a daunting prospect taking on a full resto on a mk1. Espcially when your on a crap wage and money doesnt go far.

But you have to just stick at it and crack on. Cant wait to get it back on the road and go to some meets and shows again and just have a laugh driving it.

That sounds like a plan to me. I'm restoring a 1964 88" land rover as well as modding the polo, n every penny counts atm!

Sweet man land rovers are cool, my mates got an s2 with a winch an allsorts that we go off roading in there a right laugh. Good luck with it all mate.

I've done a few more bits to the car lately, just strugling to the find the time and money at the moment as I'm trying to move with my girlfriend and what not.

I'm just replacing and refurbing everything as i go.

Test fitted the recaro's the other day I'm well happy with them they sit pretty low and there well comfy. They just need a good clean.

Got a new grill and new trim.

Most of the windows are in now, just need to get the seals for the doors and get my tailgate all painted. Also got new mirrors and sill trim.

New rear lights.

I couldnt resist these bbs after getting rid of the last set of rims. I no there nothing new or original but flip it, i love them and i think theyll look awesome against the black.

Next up i need to split them and get some wider stainless dishes mostly cause I'm too lazy to be assing around polishing bare alloy

Should be some more done soon, just hope to get it back on the road by next year so i can get out and have some laughs in it again B)

love the golf mk3 GTI Edition recaro seats aswell! spotted a set on ebay last night, is wanting over £300 i think! i know they were only for german edition GTI's but could justify paying that. lucky u got the red piping set aswell, wil go with he car.

Um yep its turned into this!

I got fed up of the gti after a while and decided to sell it. So when that went i was going to get a more modern car and save a bit of money. But then i saw this up for sale and couldnt resist, its my dream car so i had to have it!

Its a 1976 series 1 with a g40 engine conversion.
