'Projekt Holiday' New purchase!

Featured Replies

One of my all time favorite Polo's, really love it 8-)

I do prefer the Schmidts if I'm honest, just a little bit different, especially in 16", i like how the car has been built around them, but still suit it down to the ground..

S'all about a 1.8T tbh..... ;)

Dan, the bbs suit your car so much better than the schmidts imo dude.

The air ride kit is way over priced,,just get new kit from Ray if you are going for it.

Sell the schmidts and buy that air ride!

Schmidts all day long for me.

Sorted :D

Just been doing silly quotes on insurance whilst I'm bored, turns out i can insure a MK4 Golf GTI for less... MUCH less than I'm paying for the polo at the moment... Makes me think :(

BBS on this definetly!! NO too air ride, your car sits beautifully on coilovers!!

sounds like your having a similar thought process as myself at the minute...am getting fed up of putting my non existent money into the polo, though i love it, i know I'm always going to think of something else to do :-( what to do ???lol

Couldnt agree more with you two!

My thought process... I'm currently getting quotes on BMW 3 series compacts 2.0 and MK 4 Golf GTI (150bhp) and I'm getting quotes soooooooooo cheap compared to what I'm paying on the polo its untrue...

I'm wanting something bigger, something with abit more luxury, more mod cons and more power, and something I'm not going to throw my money into as much as i will with the polo (ie; engine conversion (4k) etc...)

But at the same time letting the polo go will be a bloody nightmare :(

What to do! What-to-do!

:( look in the for sale section, was going to do an engine swap but thing I'm going to leave it now there comes a point where you just want something different as much as i love my polo

Can you afford golf vr6 then you could take your interior with you, just an idea.

I'm not debating this on here aswell :disgust:

tut tut man! Get the bbs on inc the caps for the full effect, rock the coils, hold out till the end of the season then start a fresh for the winter! come on, cant be rolling stock in the summertime now can we :D

i think i prefer the schmidt's, but then again missing caps on the bbs !

week day wheels and weekend wheels lol?

My thought process... I'm currently getting quotes on BMW 3 series compacts 2.0 and MK 4 Golf GTI (150bhp)

But why would you want either of them?

Gonna have to be something alot more special I reckon!

Stick with it!

Dude i know what your going through. I did the same thing. In the end it was hard but spending X amount of money on an old polo just didn't make sence. Yeah it would have been fast. But spending the money on a car that was made fast and can handle as well was so much more worth it.

Yeah i spent more on the new car than i would of if i had just done an engine conversion on the polo, but the polo would never of put a smile on face like the golf does now.

You do have a good point man, i dont mind keeping the Polo to be fair but it will be up for sale still, if its goes, it goes, if it stays... happy days :)
