Insurance assessor came round today, had a very good chat with him about the car.

Got 2 options from what i can make out, they can offer me a cash settlement which means they wash their hands of it and let me do what i want and i get to keep the Polo, OR they can just fix it for me...

The work involved will mean itll be more likely a cash settlement because to them its not worth repairing the car, but to me and most of us its worth fixing.

So if i get cash then i will be breaking the car, so a heads up to you lot if theres anything you fancy drop me a PM.

If they offered me say £3,000 which is what it would cost to fix the damage, id be spending that on fixing it... so thats ANOTHER 3k spent on the car, if i kept the 3k, broke OR i guess i could sell the polo as damaged and if someone else wanted to fix it they could...

Yep i was amazed as well, but this is top notch body shops I've gone to not just the backstreet ones! I could easily get a cheap price, but whats the point because all ill be getting is yet another cheap job!

Shame its going to be broken, but onwards and upwards!

I think I need to sell the interior as a whole guys, unless someone buys the seats then someone else buys the doorcards theres no way id split! Looking for about £1400 for the interior OVNO.

I've also seen a nice Blue Bora on Edition38 and a Polo GTI with Jabba sport gear and running over 300bhp, so I'm kinda itching now... I really want to try and stay in the Polo family

Polo's still for sale now reduced it to £3000 because of the damage, rear bumper needs plastic welding, and the slam panel at the back either needs pulling out or replacing... if your handy with bodywork your going to be getting a BARGAIN!!!

I have thought about getting it fixed many many many times man, but it just doesnt make financial sense, I've had a offer from the insurance without writing the car off, so idealy would like someone to take it off my hands now.

Next project is almost certainly a 9N3 GTI in White or Black :D
