The blocks are all the same, just the 2.0 is overbored and the 1.6 is sleeved down from 1.8 IIRC, so there's no weight difference as such.

I thought the same thing, but when Ford put the 2.0 into the current Fiesta, apparently the mounts had to be altered to get it to sit at a different angle.

They didn't have to for the Zetec S, which is the 1.6...

Not sure that is entirely true. The 1.6 is a completely different engine to the 1.8 and 2.0 zetec AFAIK. The 1.6 zetec isn't actually a zetec engine its the old 16v engine from the escorts whereas the 1.8 and 2.0 zetec's are actually the zetec engine. They are totally the same engine just the 2.0 is bored out more then the 1.8 IIRC.

Could be speaking absolute shite though.

1.3 in Ford Ka is a "Valencia" engine which traces its ancestory back to the Crossflow kent engines in Mk1 escorts etc. The 2.0 1.8 and I believe Early 1.6 engines are Ford designed based loosely on the Old CVH engine (think xr3i, Rs turbo etc) and are bored/stroked versions of the same block.

The engines found in Mk4 fiesta's (1.25) Fiesta Zetec S (1.6) and Puma (1.6 and 1.7) are Zetec Se engines which are yamaha designed units and aren't the same as the normal Zetec engines.

All of this is from me reading loads of Fast Fords a few years back.
