hmmm expensive?? lol

i love it tho but not in the rain :( I've still got a few issues with the car that piss me off before I'm 100% happy...

i need to shave the 9n engine mount.,. as it was rubbing on the chassie leg when chucking it round left bends.. so we losened it and pull it out a bit and tighten it back up.. but now i think its rubbing slightly on the cam cover and its pusshed the cam cover in so its rubbing slightly on one of the pulleys and making a silly noise... and its loud asfuck when i start it up when its cold like something is blowing downpipe/manifold.. but as soon as it gets slightly warm its as silent as a mouse

what out for the exhaust manifold simmy know to crack blow when they are cool and seal up when hot

Yeah they are exspensive.. no fun in the rain but i just drive mine off boost in the rain.. except motorways where you can give it some.. what gear box u running dude??

Yeah mine is loud on idle too.. but thats coz only got one silencer in the whole system looool

U should be able to tell if the manifold is cracked or leaking just by listening to it... you are running standard management too right? so it prob got the auto choke like where it revs slightly high on cold starts untill warm then comes back down to 1k..

I like mine in the morning! Cos the Engine is mounted so solidly with poly bushes there's no give in it at all and the vibrations through the car just make it feel raw and fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

ste the noise was the bolts missing from the inlet manifold.. lol

its really loud when its cold.. and does sound like its blowing and it even makes alittle crackeling noise type thing.. i new something was blowing but i didnt know what.. it sounds like its the exhaust manifold then..ill have to look at getting areplacment allthough i htink engine might have to come out to swap it :(

I'm running a 3inch down pipe and a 2.5inch system all the way through.. with only a back box and tbh once its warm its quite as a mouse untill u open her up but thats how i like it :D.

as for vibrations.. i only really feel it through the accelerator pedal lol thats probs cos the tt pedals been welded to my pedal box with a custom mount cos it caught on the fuse box

I'm looking at exhaust manifolds some are cheap as 100 quid on ebay but are for ko3 :( I'm sure mine is cracked if liam said they heal when its warm

ebay ones are poo  simmy

jbs one is 500 quid lol

i need to find a second hand standard one lol

I'm worried about aftermarket 1's anyway cos they all look alot bigger than the standard item and its tight enough at the back of my bay. I'm gonna try and see if i can see or feel where its cracked anyway

Speak to the VAG tuning companies to see if they have any std ones floating around!

and wtf them ports in that manifold look shit lol no wonder it gets so hot

sometimes crack on the runners too if its hard to get your hand on you can put a thin bit of tissue paper over it to test for leaks
