I must admit it is kinda nice when my boyf puts boy racing chavs in thier places hehe. I dont agree with it but its nice lol.

being a "Bird" i love nothing more than see my other half happy in his pristinely rebuilt, polished to within an inch of its life pride and joy, ok it does my head in when he spends hours bitchin' about how its not ready for this show that show or the nur trip, thats my cue to go out and spend time with my girlie mates.

chicks dig my whip! some girl i was seeing for a while didn't like it though and where she lived had the biggest speed bumps which i couldn't physically get my splitter over so that ended soon enough!

Cars should not be used to try and impress a girl as you'll only attract the shallow ones. Girls should like you for being you and not someone who has maxed out a loan or spent loads of money just to reach a higher level in the dating game.

If you can't pull without having a flash car then you need to think about upping your social skills a bit more!!

ye my mrs loved the GTI and she has a new beetle so i guess I'm lucky

I think theres alot of blokes in here tarnishing all women with the same brush being obsessed with nothing more than shopping and make up. i have already said that my girlfriend isnt into that and does enjoy all the thing i do, doesnt mind me spending ridiculous amounts of money on my car.

However as was said above if you do feel you need a flash car to get a girl then maybe you should either work on your social skills or reconsider the kind of girl you are after?

had the arguement a few times now about the gt with the missis usally starts with her looking for argument by saying...

"my car looks better then yours..."

in which i reply...

"You drive a 206!!! and to make it worse you have Stupid! yes STUPID pink steering wheel cover"

(which i rip off everytime I'm in car)

usally have to finish off the argument with

"If you every buy lexus lights and 17" "It will be over!!"

my missus has no interest in cars whatsoever,she has a mk7 sdi diesel called "paolo",i renewed my insurance the other day on the mk1, and put her on it(worked out cheaper), i told her , and she said "ill have to have a go",i said "it will sense its not me, and it will prob do a herbie and do you a serious injury when you try and set off in it"

so i chucked her the keys.

seriously though, she wants me to get a newer car, she just adored the 1985 rat look vw t25 i bought last may.

even broached the subject of selling her polo and splitting the money, getting her another polo(albeit older) and me a caravelle(put some money 2 both),and she said "well its in my name , you cant sell it and if you did, i would report it stolen , get you arrested, then divorce you"

this is from someone who has NO interest in dubs, wont go to shows etc.etc.

btw the mk7 sdi is in autotrader next week :biggrin:
