I want a Impreza

Featured Replies

Does that make it faster?

Badges weigh it down a bit ;)

Not sure what makes it do special, its an Version STI Type-RA which means its the powerful engined, lightweight version of the last of the classic shape imprezas, but i'm not sure what the 55 v-limited means!

I wouldnt mind a Focus RS!

Ford build a proper car and it gets slated for some slight torque steer :p Anyone driven a Volvo S60/V70 D5 recently? Absolutely horrendous torque steer!

My dads got the volvo s60r...

Thats 4wd... doesnt feel the effect as bad as only half the torque goes to the front wheels when you nail it.

Escort RS Cosworth or Sierra RS 500, but then again they're both Ford's and my mates have all cursed Ford from the cars theyve owned!! :(

Scooby's do look mean and are serious pulling machines for females..... oooooh and I seen a rather tasty late 20's female in one the other day, didnt know which I wanted more, her or the car??

The one I was driving was a 1996 STi Jap spec was pretty nippy I have to admit

Because if your in a bit of a rush people move out your way. If I'm in a rush in my G40 people just hang in the outside lane thinking that old polo is going to take forever to go past so ill stay in this lane doing 69mph even tho the car in the middle lane is doing 67mph but is a mile away.

sooo true!! gotta hardcore look about them.. never had anybody sit in front of me in my old one..

And was that a Polo owner calling Impreza's common? HAHAHAHA

Nope that was G40 owner calling Impreza's common

and how oftern do you see a mint G40.....in white!!

impreza's are like what spaniel says, every C**ts got one.....love that saying lol

Well this is a Spec-D owner calling G40s common

When we start getting into models you know you're gonna lose! :-D

Just like to Polo owners its just another Impreza, to impreza owners it's just another Polo!

your on a website dedicated to polo's.....give up now! lol

Lolington. We've had this argument before

If I was arguing for the Ford Fiesta you'd have a point! Fiesta, Polo, meh, same thing.

yes thats true we have.....am guna shut up now

dont get me started on fiesta's n polo's they are not the same!!!

scoobys are popular for a reason 8-)

yes thats true we have.....am guna shut up now

dont get me started on fiesta's n polo's they are not the same!!!

whats the difference? there both amid at the same market, there both meant to be cheap run arounds for women, and they both have a couple of sportier models of them. at least the fiesta wasn't built by some Spaniard that needs to go home to bed half way though the day, lazy bastards

I really had to reply to this topic due to the fact that i have a polo tdi and an impreza wagon uk turbo. I see a lot of what your all saying that everyone moves for a scooby yes its true lol The impreza is getting common cos they are getting easier to get as Subaru produce new shapes etc etc

I love my polo and my other half mainly drives the scoob but when u have been driving about in my polo for a while i do find my self saying ohh i could go a wee run in the scoob n clear the cobwebs kind of thing, our scoob is an everlasting one lol 170,000 miles on the cars standard engine only replaced one gearboxlol so we aint doing to bad

the 555 v-Ltd i think was named after the 555 car in the rally and there was a limited number made, the p1 nice car but were choclatey engine they are the most common ones for having big end bearing failure, i take it at the end of the day tbh i would have a White Sti blobeye impreza with pink stickers!!!

It's true in some cases driving a bigger/more powerful car you can be pushier on the road than in a Polo. People tend not to fuck so much with 1600kg's of Audi as they do with 800kg's of Polo.

Impreza really has to be a 3 door and pref. jap...STi Type R or 22B are the boys. (22B acctually stands for 555 in hexidecimal as for some reason they weren't allowed to use 555)...RB5's are nice though for a UK style car.

I'd have an early one in the 555 dark blue, with gold alloys and non-aggresive front...just cause it's cool and original.

I like them have been running this RA for about 10 years as my daily. Had a UK turbo 2000 before.

Funny that, 22B is 555 as you say in hex, but it also corresponds to the engine size sort of... 22 = 2.2 litres.

haha, I never knew that but you're right. 22b in hex is 555 in decimal!

fuckin hate hexidecimal!!

You've got to admit that best name goes to the Mitsubishi Evo VIII FQ-300. FQ Literally standing for F*cking Quick! Read it in a magazine somewhere before.

Seen one in a Vauxhall stealers of all places when I gave my mate a lift to pick his Corsa (which he wrote off inside 3 months!). Looked the absolute bollocks, with a nicer interior than my house!

i got a mate with an fq300, and he became a cock shortly after picking it up, my mate with the scooby has stayed a wreak head that likes to ruin his relationship by getting fucked and hanging with the lads. go figour.

by the way, the one with the evo gets none

The Evo is just that much beyond the normal car. 6000 miles service intervals (impreza's 12k), mega expensive parts (compared to the impreza's very expensive parts), and is just that little bit quicker, though supposedly a it less raw.

The UK bosses told the japs FQ meant Fine Quality apparantly!

Probs, thoucht f*cking quick was a bit extreme!

They just big boys toys for chavs in my opinion,

bet they all used to drive Nova's and XR2's and grew older but never grew wiser.

No offence to anyone who does own either car, its a generalisation of the owners I have met.

Take for example the Evo in the Vauxhall stealers, which was only there because it's previous owner was doing time for dangerous driving!!! I swear this is what the dealer told me when we were having a chat!

People say that the Impreza is understeery etc conpared to the Evo... but in realilty its that little bit of understeer before you reach the limit that tells you to back off a bit. In the Evo it goes and goes and goes with no sign of the limit until you're wrapped around a lampost or another car!
