I haven't seen this done yet (my mk3 breadvan)

oil pressure gauge, volt meter and battery cut off for battery in boot for subs.

and 4" speakers in my tailgate. :-D

Decided at the weekend i have had enough of the debadged grille an di wanted something abit differant from the std grille... so i made this.

one side first prep.

other side b4 sandin, this has all been plastic welded (with a solderin iron and filled)

first side sprayed to see what its like

finished, well painted matt ready for texture paint.

quite a few one-off on my polo. all of which were done back in 2001ish and still not seen many similar mods around. If they have been done, odds on it was after 2001

debumpered w/deleted bumper mounts on front wings. and a custom smooth panel welded onto the rear and smoothed.

deleted numberplate recess (although i've seen these since). brushed stainless strip along the raised bottom edge of the tailgate.

colour matched rear window surround

smoothed all spot welds from rear turrets (although these have since been cained by one of the interim owners shoving bmx's in the back :( )

all spot welds smoothed on front panel

Chrome vw badge fitted into front wing

Guages mounted in dash, never seen them where these are.

'custom' badge on speedo

aluminium panel on inside of tailgate with holes punched into it and "vw1300" badge (although needs to be changed to a "vw1600" badge when i find one)

stainless steel exhaust exiting out from the passenger side just infront of rear wheel w/up swept tip.

passenger side mirror blank made from mirrored stainless steel, bullet mirror on drivers side, with a similar stainless plate behind that.

black textured 'panels' removed from between door windows and the rear quarter windows.

aluminium surround around sunroof.

black headlining.

glovebox removed and an aluminium panel with punched holes in its place.

think thats it

all these mods were done by my brother back in the early 00s. He sold the car, and i've bought it back 4 owners later, with a dead engine (not the one my brother built for it, that was pinched for another car :( ).
