do you have a pro parts or anything where you live, for £22.50 from there you get a complete headgasket set includes every gasket you need to re-build the engine plus all the oil stems, and then the head bolts are £1 something each, then we have german swedish and french automotive engineering they supply any VW part you would ever need

that part code comes up as a gasket for 1.4 and 1.6 engines from mk3 golfs and mk4 polos.

Ja. Been using one for a few years now - though PSD originally put my engine together with a stock G40 gasket I supplied, which wasn't really suitable for an overbored block.

The Golf one for the 1.4 ABD engine is good for the 1272cc boys, but doesn't give such an increase in CR if memory serves - not sure if the GSF one (11132) is metal or not though. Some of the Italian OEM part suppliers definately do metal ones for the ABD.

Yep 11133B has a cylinder bore diameter of 77.5mm due to it catering for worn mk4 engines. There is an AFH only metal gasket too, the GSF part number is only one digit out from that one. It has slighty different shaped waterway holes, but its still has 77.5mm cylinder bore holes.

How much difference is the water way holes ? Do you know what thickness it is ?

Both are 0.5mm, only slight difference in the shape iirc. The GSF part number is 11134 for the AFH only gasket. Interestingly 11133B lists the AFH for compatibilty too along with the other mk4 1.4/1.6 small block engines on the manufacturers sticker.

you are jestin right? How do I know which is for mine?!

you are jestin right? How do I know which is for mine?!

no it goes on the age of the car. if you look on etka or the thread i started 'g40 part numbers' there are two water pumps. this is why i said go to vw before, as they input your reg and give you correct one. basically the teeth are different and consequently the belt to match.

the cross over is 1992, mine being a jan 1992 they fucked it up on mine which put a saturday finishing off session to a halt till the following wednesday.

stressed yet. this is why you should go to vag, cos thye input the details and give you proper stuff. thats my opinion anyway. some others have had good experiences with gsf and the likes though. not me...

I don't foookin believe it. I need the job done, sorted and forgotten about on saturday, if they fuck it up I will go frikin wild at 'em
