well the owners been busy today swapping interiors for me and basically filling up the car with as much stuff as he can fit from his garage for me.

I'm after one of these carbs, its for a 2 pin manifold from a FA/FJ/GF/GG engine from a 1.1/1.3 mk1 golf...

can also have the 4 pin inlet mani/carb from a M GG80000/Formel E

old skool radio, early dash and a rather large mountney wheel - (wheel will be for sale soon) - he's chucking in a few more comedy old skool stereos, no 8 tracks tho, fully gutted

vacuum gauge mounted underneath steering wheel, odd place to mount it, but will be mounting it in the center console along with oil pressure/temp and a volt-meter

I'm fully itching to go pick it up, its ready for collection now, just awaiting some final pennies and the iceman (mad props go out to you) for offering for help pickin her up...

the suggestions on names so far have been kermit, muppet and poddington pea... muppet still makes me chuckle

yup the swallow tails are the 1st mrk 1 Golfs to be! there quite rare tbh! and Saf make Calvert happy hes been lookin for one of these for ages now

yeh I've heard of MJ, i know a lad in manchester who grew up with that lot, seen a rado the did at e38 06 everything was leather clad cage, dash, dials it looked ace, quality is top notch too!

good news, classics are mine

woke up with an absolutely banging head today after going out on a piss up with three canadian lassies last night, however i managed to actually wake up at a sensible time and have a well productive day

first up, removing the rear coilies and wheels off the red golf

half arsed cleaning attempt :p

project muppet landed on me doors so i gutted the inside as it was choc-full of parts.

look at me spare room now

will sift through it tonight or tomorrow and do an inventory and picture everything seperatley

project muppet was looking a lil worse for wear after sitting in a garage for the last year or so, so a good wash and wax was desperatly needed, beena also got her first wash in about 3 months no waxing tho, will wax it tomorrow, then her car cover comes monday so she can hibernate till the summer.

195/45/13s each tire be a diff make yoko a539, conti, fulda and assuro, all got plenty of meat.

picked up a new steering wheel and boss today for 35 nicker, already had a boss in the muppet so wheels got swapped over.

Whipped the classics off the front to nosey as the brakes and suspension

Stuck the lorbers on the front for the time being until i start/finish swapping the coilies tomorrow,

also fitted the debadged grille with the rabbit badge that came in ze post

and one of the carbless engine bay, i shall be spending tomorrow cleaning it up with some degunk if i can find it.

well thats all for now cos I'm knackered and need to grab dinner mmm

Slightly condfused. Didn't you say it was a 1.1? looks like a 1500 to me! 1.1s look like this.

If your keeping the engine for a while might be worth getting a 1600 manifold from a mk2 together with a twin barrel weber DMTL. :)

just looked again and gaz has a point! look nothing like a 1.1! where is your brake servo saf?

now you mention it i only opened the bonnet for a fleeting glance before deciding to leave that job till tomorrow but i wondered why it looked like a mk2 digital elephant :-S

and why the exhaust mani was at the back!

max the master cylinder is at the back left, you can see the frake fluid resi, not sure it its got a servo

spotted this rather lush autocavan brake linkage ( gaz I'm sure you will r emember them ) hopefully if i can get it cheap enough it might become part of my plans, I'm liking the sound of the twin barrel DTML, one went yesterday for a polo with a k&n filter and gas ported mani for 177 quid

what engine codes would i be looking for or what models gaz so i can start searching on vagcat woop :)

engine i reckon will be staying till after run to the sun so wouldnt mind treating it to a weber till then :)

edit: just re-read urs and i reckon it be a mk2 1600 driver... they come with poopbergs as standard?
