When we got to UD I parked in the middle of no where and by parking silly was hoping no one would park next to me. Is my worst fear of something just smashing their door open against mine!

Loved this car when it was on the teledials... But when the last owner was selling it he mentioned to me that it had a few problems with it, obviously he didnt look after it. All it needs is some TLC again....

There's nothing wrong with it, jamie washed it at least once a week and polished it regularly too. It just had a long (dirty and wet) driveup the M1, my cars paint looked shit too that day !!!

as above, jamie kept good care of it as far as i saw, after he bought it the GTi splitter came off on the motorway - the next day he was at VW picking up a new one..etc

the only issue was the seats became loose and he never had the chance to re-bolt them down due to no spare time cos of starting a new job. the issue wasnt ever hidden from the buyer, nor was it anyones fault.

whys everyone so angry and uptight, ITS A FUCKING CAR FOR GOD SAKE. he new about the seats before he bought the car and it was like that for a week and i had no passengers on it when it was like that, he also new the situation of the car, body and engine before he drove it away and handed the cash.

Danny knew the situation and obviosuly didn't mind due to him having new seats lined up anyway1 I think its just those stirring the situation into a frenzy! Lets face it, its a nice car that is going through changes for the better!

oh my god this threads so out of control! the paints fine still red as ever and theres nothing apart from the wheels that are letting the car down compared to what it used to be so why all the spitefullness?

i know Dave (test richie) he would never have let them seats get to an unsafe level, dont forget it was owned by someone else before you and after dave so surely that person is responsable for checking the safety of them. if you knew they were dangerous then a) why did you buy the car and b) keep driving it like it. so stop bitching at other peoples work and get on with a retrim to make them look like they are meant to belong in that car.

look mate i aint bitching about anyone's work! I bought the car because it had the modifcations which I dont have the time or money to do! I only drove the car for a week with the tt seats because I got it on a sunday and had to wait for the following weekend because the porsche seats take the best part of a day to put it. I am saving up my pennies now for my next investment. If you stop "bitching" about other people bitching maybe this thread wouldnt get out of hand
