Personally, I never liked the car when either of the previous owners had it, so I hope he flips the script and does something original with it. Good on you fella.

when did i say i never liked anyone! think you need to test your eyes and read properly what i wrote before, i never critisised what he has done to the car, was just tired of people moaning at dave for the seats.

ps dont use msn so you need to take your own advice on slating someone

the 1st bit of bitchin seems tobe in the 1st post.. about how dangerous the seats were fitted by the previous owner. u even STILL call it daves old car shouldnt that b jamies old car??

dave then says paint looks bad n rather than sayin it soo needs a wash n wax the reply is.. Cheers! If your not gonna say anything nice I would prefer you didnt say anything at all!

loads of posts later we find out that he knew about the seats before he bought the car and it was like that for a week and i had no passengers on it when it was like that, he also new the situation of the car, body and engine before he drove it away and handed the cash. so the digs about the seats seem pointless really.

then dave says hes not gonna post anymore n reply is....Thanks. If I do any modifications that you dont like I would prefer if you didnt say anything. Its not YOUR car anymore!

As said before the car is in my name and I can do want I wont to it! May even put it back to standard ride height!

the height and "rake" of the seat are spot on from driving imo. the fittings about an afternoons worth of work, alot of cutting measuring and when you're sure its alright welding involved!

This thread adds to the long list of reasons why I am reluctant to become a club member again. Admittedly this is the ONLY Polo forum worth visiting, but over the last year or so, this forum has become full of opinionated people who think they know everything.

It seems a lot of people are putting blame on previous owners of this car without knowing the price it was sold for and the apparent problems which were inevitably explained to the buyer.

I personally think you have done a good job with the seats danny_dub. From what I remember test_richie didn't turn his car in to a show car over night, and neither should you be expected to. What danny_dub has done so far looks good, and the plans sound equally good, so perhaps everyone should wait to see how this car progresses? From what he has written, it sounds like it is going to have a pretty amazing interior!

i like it mate, its your car you got to change it to your style and so that everyone isnt like "thats daves old car".

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and it looked stunning, even looked pretty fresh on the valver wheels.
