Full site is pretty much unusable on my mobile so I've given up and had to use the mobile version, which like all mobile versions of sites is crap.

as this is based on the same boards as edition I spent some time on there this morning on the full site using my phone and it was faultless. Loaded quickly, didn't crash or freeze once. Not sure what the different is between the two sites but one works fine and the other is poo?

Not a clue mate, it's as fast as any other site on my phone, which has probably not even got half the spec of yours. Tried all the obvious loging out and back in, clearing of cache and cookies, watching less porn etc?

Mines working fine now, I presume the background bits have finished? slowly getting used to it the main thing I'm not liking is the 3/4 home page where you have the recent posts and link us on FB in the 3rd 1/4 seems a waste of page when everything could be full width.

I use full version in my phone absolutely fine with no issues

Must be your phone, site works fine on my phone and ipad and computer and is very fast.

Also the side bar is a feature of IP.Board now as you'll notice edition has the same all the forums will.

Thats the problems, as I say this is the only site it does it on and its absolutely perfect on edition so fuck knows. I'll try and clear the cookies and what not later on and see how that pans out

Also where be the smilies? Can't see them on the mobile version (probably because mobile versions are more basic than max's understanding of the female genitalia), but I also couldn't see them on the full version?

I dont like that we have so many smileys now.

[ img ] [ /img ] tags have been removed from ipb as default option, they want you to use the 'insert picture' icon to add pictures. 

If you try to use them (same as me) you will get this message;

An error occurred

You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

Even I can't use them, and I'm not allowing HTML in posts, we never have and never will, it is to much of a security risk as anyone can write code and inject an SQL to get cookies login as admins etc etc etc.

If that is what you are being grumpy about, get used to it and blame Invision they changed the way BBCodes are handled.

The image tag has changed in 3.4 and the format skitch is suggesting does not work.

You have to use

(url to image)

Rather than

[ img ](url to image)[/ img]

(Ignore the spaces above, had to do that to prevent the bbcode from trying to parse)

The new way to write them (which no imaging hosting company uses...) is;

[img=LinkToImage]

Hence the same issues on Edition and every other website/forum that uses IPB over 3.2.1.

Anymore complaining you want to express so I can explain?

^{Before the changes I was working my way through the photo gallery, and when I hit the back button it took me back to the main page at the right place on it i.e half way down the page and the tread I'd just read was high-lighted, making it very easy to see the next tread down to open.}

^{Now when I hit the back button it takes me back to the top of the main page, so you have to scroll down the page and the last tread you viewed isn't high-lighted making hard to find the next thread.}

Open the page you want to read in a new window or tab in your browser, then just close that one when you want to go back.

This afternoon I posted some pics and as you said, it kept comming back with that comment about that cant use that in this community, so eventually I found by copying the img code and then used the "paste" in the tool bar, that brought up a box to paste the img link into clicked the OK box and then it came up as normal in the reply box and it showed the pictures as normal ????
