2 part numbers for the waterpumps are as follows.

052121005AX this one is the one with larger gaps in the teeth

052121005LX and this is the other one.

You should have the complection a Goth would be proud of from working in a dark workshop, however you are brown and tanned from walking back and forth to the Mill VW dealers for bits without a car. Tell you what, if you run to the mill and back every day after they have had their delivery you will get fit and have more time building the car ........ come on dude buck your ideas up and build the car instead of talking about it.!

wouldn't be so sure about that - it comes up with early gt ones etc - the bores on a g40 downpipe are much larger that any other mk2 or 3 i've seen, as is the downpipe gasket...

GT & G40 gasket part numbers are the same! :) (on the euro car parts catalogue)

Asked Pitstop - they said they are different! Ignore the above info!

'97 vento, 1.4/1.6 apparently, engines AEX/AEE/AEA/APQ

headbolts, same as any polo. (they are 1mm shorter than proper g40 ones, but this doesnt matter apparently)

so vag 050-103-384 (with washer) 11mm. - or - GSF 01161

if anybody is having trouble getting bosch w5dpo's the vag part number is 101000006ag they are £10.22 + V.A.T. they are longlife plugs so will last for 30,000 miles.
