A friends mrs reversed into the side of my polo the other week

 

 

 

 

Its not as bad as it could be comsidering its position but it is worse than the pictures show, basically pinched the lip of the arch. 

 

Some more dent removal

Been a while since i updated. Not a great deal going on with this really as its full spec now, well almost

 

Took it to the scirocco nationals yesterday at raf cosford. 200 miles each way, did it without a problem and more than capable of keepin the pace with all the roccos 

 

Had to park in the 'peasant parking' area as i didnt come in a scirocco

 

 

 

Locked it and walked away, didnt give a thought to opening the bonnet as i didnt think itd get noticed umongst all the sciroccos but quite a few people looked it over, probably to work out what it was "thats not a golf, what is it?"

 

Got a quick look at jons new g40 too at one of the stops. Thats and audi coupe gt next to it

After nearly 10 years i sorted the sunroof, not the way i wanted it to go but it needed doing. Silicone finger prints everywhere 

 

 

 

 

Needs tidying up but itll do for now 

 

 

Not a great deal gone on with this, added a golf afm and cone filter which had increased performance higher in the revs but lessened it lower down

The golf afm does make a difference to the mid and higher rev range, losses a little low down but its worth the swap

 

I did try a smalled cone filter as the large over breaths low down and again it was the same effect , quicker 20-50 but becomes restrictive over that 

 

Idealy id like to modify a gt airbox to fit the golf afm 

 

 

Detuned the polo, gt injectors and airbox back in

 

Gonna go at it again with less guess work to find some extra horses

That's a bit shit. Just fatigue or is there play in your engine mounts? 

Been on there 7 years so cant complain. One of the backbox hangers has had it and the rocking probably did it, could hear a blow under me but couldnt quite see it.

 

Did notice a mark where the crack is but it looked more like a scratch at the time 

 

Would have been nice to find out what it makes

This is the 421 as it came out, didnt even try to keep it in ine piece as it would never have happened

 

Had it repaired, welded and the plated on top of that. Got it back in, bit of a job 

Guess its time to update the spec

The polo has come to its end, parted out and the shell givien away to improve a black gt
