I used the CCU listed in the guide and it works fine on my 9N3. The original one in my Polo ended in H and I replaced it with the E version.

Not sure if it can be re-coded but if you have a 5 door Polo make sure to get a CCU from a 5 door car otherwise you won't have full functionality of all your doors!

You may be able to re-code but its not something i've looked at

Yes, you can indeed recode the unit to a 5/3 door quite easily with VAG-COM/VCDS.

Okay, so I've got pictures of the bracket which houses the CCU (which I happen to have on my desk, I'm tidy like that...)

So that's the bracket, and this is the bit of the bracket that holds it to the metal frame:

Sadly, no one had uploaded pictures like these before, so I didn't know how to get the sucker out... Turns out all you have to do is slide it, but after 3 failed attempts to remove it, I went in with a big screwdriver and prized the thing out. I then paid a few quid to get a replacement bracket, happy days. (Part no. 6Q2 971 502, not readily available online, had to go to parts dealer)

It is important to remove the footwell duct first, which is a single T20 headed screw, and a bit of yanking and wiggling to get it to come free. (Be sure that it goes 'click' when you put it back in)

The 2nd picture shows where there would be two arrow shaped pieces of plastic that lock the unit in sideways, in theory, a good yank in the right direction and it will pull away. Once you've done that, get the bracket down and out of the way (leaving the CCU dangling by it's cable) and then you have to disconnect the existing CCU (not a trivial task...)

Hello I have been watching this thread for quite some time now, but lacking pics as to help me In my venture I really am growing a bit confused..

(Please be kind as I'm a first timer with these, I can flash mobiles, program, solder you name It but this stuff is unkown waters for me)

Being a Polo 9N (2004) owner I wanted also to have the remote locking feature.

My car already has Central Lock and Unlock either from a switch from within the door via a button with a key symbol or by using my key @ the door lock ( )

When the doors is locked at the drivers side a small led starts blinking like the one here

Now looking under the drivers seat (from the floor mat looking up at the clutch side) all I can see this but I cannot find anything that resembles any of these

Am I missing any part, do I have to buy a part and If yes, where do I Install It?

Any help would be appreciated.

But it has a new transponder in the key already so it should be a case of get it cut and sort it out no?

Ok after reading and thankfully watching more closely to the descriptions provided (plus this nice plastic chassis/enlosure/bracket photo that helped me a lot)

I found It's just above the small air vent, it's mounted inside a plastic chassis/bracket

thus now I have found all the pieces and provided all info necessary what is/should be my next step...

as far as I understand the next logical steps are

1. buy a compatible module

2. backup previous module with vcds (I saw that many people didn't have to though if the module s/n is the same)

3. fit new module (restore backup from vcds)

4. pair new remote (no need for Immobilizer as I have already paired 3 immo keys/rf vials)

If your key has come with a blank transponder they yes, all you'll need to do is get the blade cut, and the transponder programmed/coded to your car so it can turn off the immobilizer. You should be able to do this with VagTacho but if you're going for a hassle free option and possibly not much more expensive you can look for an auto-locksmith to do it for you (what I ended up doing). Or if you have a spare key already, you can do what a few others have done and very very carefully remove the transponder from that and put it in the new key.

You've pretty much got it by the sounds of it. Buy the module listed in the guide (maybe check the s/n and number of plugs that are currently installed first). Write down the soft coding from your previous module with VCDS. Disconnect the battery, install new module. Code with previous modules soft coding. Pair new remote and done :)

I'm very lucky to have a H02/S0002 thus It was easy and kinda cheap to replace my module (It cost me around 40€)

mine was a 2twerig or something like that, meaning (2doors) and the replacement was 4twerig (4doors)

I had one plug at my old module and the new had 2 more at the sides, I can Imagine that these extra plugs/connectors are for the 2 extra doors

I Have fitted the module and It works a treat (windows, locks, autolock-unlock- central locking)

I have already bought a key #HLO 1JO 959 753 DA# but I'm still waiting for It, thus I cannot confirm that I'm done and sorted,

I will let you know once I receive the key.

Can anyone or you please guide me to a page where I can find VCDS fields I can control/alter/change as to further customize the module (autolocking/flashing/windows etc).

Once more thank you for your confirmation as this was what made me move forward.

I think all the programming of the CCM is done on VagTacho I believe...

I've had my Polo fitted with remote central locking, just the key that needs cutting now, but apart from that it's spot on

Not too sure about a VCDS guide myself - could do with one though! All those settings can be changed this way though I believe.

I'm pretty sure VagTacho is only used for Immo Pin retreival and "mileage correction" - VagTacho 3.01 doesn't work with my 9N3 though, but it does work for the 9N apparently!

I've heard having your key cut by laser to be a lot better and smoother in the lock. I had a local locksmith do mine (machined) and it only cost me about £7 - no complaints here

Don't think lasering it will make much of a difference, I mean you'll smooth it out in time anyway haha

Fitted and working

Autolock, Windows, Central Locking all fine

Bought a used key from Scoda Fabia with the following specs

Part #1JO 959 753 DA

3 Button Remote

I replaced the Immo transpoder and blade

and checked if this key starts the car and can run without any culprits, success of course!

I tried to pair by the following method

1. With windows down and all doors unlocked put key on Ignition to ON position

2. With the Remote fob put on door lock turn key to lock position and press unlock button

3.wait for 1 to 5" and press unlock button again

4. Remove key from lock and remove key from Ignition

5. Test fob If It's working/paired

No dice!

I have also tried as If I programmed a second or third key (two， three unlock button press)

And also the erase procedure both cases ended to no joy

Also if that helps my car horn doesn't sound or any lights blink during the pair procedure

Any thoughts and/or solution will not only be appreciated but will save and make my day

You are using a key with a coded/paired immobilizer transponder in it in the ignition?

I would try pressing all the buttons on the remote, that's what I did, then wait a few seconds, remove the key from the ignition and then try locking the car with the remote.

I had an issue where my door locks and remote were out of sync, and things weren't working quite right. Locking things and unlocking things with the different methods (inside car, outside car, etc.)

I didn't get any lights/sounds to indicate the pair was successful either, I think that's normal.

One thing to check also if you still have problems, if you turn the key in the door, and hold it there, do the windows roll up/down?

I have 3 paired (Immo) keys In total, and yes that's also correct I'm using keys with valid/registered transponders

Oh, well I got bored of waiting/many troubleshooting attempts and decided as a last resort to fire up VagCom to the Rescue and Fixed the Issue

Reset Remotes and then Train New, Job's done In a Flash! :) :p

Now, Why the Boot Open Button does not work, any clues, Is there any coding that needs to be done?

Also Is possible to enable remote Window Rollup/down via coding?

but my ecu only have to plugs and the 6Q0 959 433 E have 3 whats up with that?

That's normal, you just leave the other socket empty. Just so long as the S and H numbers match, and it was from a 5 door model, you'll be fine :)

i just fitted the new ECU ( I'm still waiting for the remote but i wanted to test the ECU if its working) and i have some questions.

first of all the auto lock after some km/h is working but the auto unlock is not working, the doors arent unlocking after i take out the key from the ignition. any ideas? I'm doing something wrong? or maybe the ECU is damaged?

second when i lock the car the turn indicators blink 1 time i think its ok? but when i unlock the car the turn indicators arent blinking but if i open a door the turn indicators start to blink 8 times i think...again any ideas?

(i have enable all the above options so is not that :P )

and 1 random question, on a second polo 6n when the sound unit is turned on and i switch off the ignition all the way (no lights on ) the sound unit stays ON but if i take the key of the ignition the sound unit turn off, this is not happening in my polo 9N is that how it works?

edit: i also forgot to mention that the little red led on the drivers side door close to the door pin is still blinking after i unlock the car (with my old ecu it would stop after i unlock the car ) and only goes off only if i put the key in the ignition and turn it.
