man you need to buy that loon, the interior is lush. black is proper gangster tho

if only that was closer i woudl be there tomorrow!!!! and wow its bloody low!

Dude, get a train down, bring that beauty to the north west

Becky, i quess i`ll find out if its un safe or not, it was ok all the way home. The bottom of the spring doesnt sit in its seat properly, but as long as the weight of the car is on it then i dont see how it can fall out. The wheel needs to be lifted right of the floor, and then the beam needs to be pushed down before i could move the spring, dont think i`ll be getting air time with dwarfs hanging on the beam so it should be schwibbidy..... :ninja:

Dont know if it will fail an MOT either, will find out in august......

WOW, that is cool.

Chers dude 8-)

Yousaf, if only i had the money

Wanna buy some sweet 23 year old ass? i`ll do you mates rates

i htought if when the car is jacked up and the spring is loose itw as a mot fail, my step dad does the odd foreigner at work and he said hes failed a few because the spring is loose in the strut when its not got any pressure ont he floor?

The spring isnt on the struts on these things

You have a shock mounted where you`d normally find it (with the whole strut and spring)

Then the spring is mounted/sat on its own on the beam :?

Like i said though, i couldnt move the spring while the wheel was off the floor, i had to push down on the beam, so quite safe i think........

ahh yeah i coompletely forgot about that! well tbh i had a aftermarket kinda rear coilover kit to replace the doughnuts on my mini and fully jacked up the springs in that were out of there cups and only held in by the hi-los and that passed mot's for a fair few years.... besta' luck with the mot anywayz

Edited by POLOMON

Cut about 15mm more of the rear springs

Which then brought the back end LOWER than the front - get in :-D

16032008017nl2.jpg

Finally had the excuse to whip the helper springs out of the fronts :unibrow:

So, off came the fronts (looking rather dirty :ninja: )

And back on, minus the helper spring

loooks alot better on the back now, glad we did 15mm in the end, and its called a quiff or a cows lick on yer heeds boyo.

why was that woman posing as a wing mounted ariel

looks proper smart decked on the floor. the way novas should be!!

Is there alot involved in taking the helper springs out. planning on doing it on my polo, just wasnt sure if its just a case of undoing it etc or needed spring clamps and all that????

Indeed :unibrow:

Nope, its easy

Just wind the adjuster right to the bottom so there is no pressure on the top spring, then take the nut off the top

More satin blackness happened yesterday, couldnt get on the site for some reason last night though :paranoid: so here`s some pics

I couldnt be arsed taking the stuff off the car, so i just masked it up and sprayed  bumpers, splitter and the rear plate pannel thingy, i then ran out of paint :retard:

Going to get some more today and do mirrors, door handles and rubstrips, if I've got time before i go to snooker i`ll add some of the chrome trim 8-)
