I spent all day trying to get it out, tried everything but it wouldnt budge, managed to grind enough of the calipay away to get the stud extractor over it, but i snapped it again - grrrrrr :x:x:x

Just a little yeah

Will deffo get a new one (well 2nd hand, but new all the same  ) so no worries :-)

Just seen this thread Craig.

Nova's can be real cool cars, they're just like Polo's in so many ways.

Get that 16v 1.6 engine in on ITB's or Weber's along with a proper 4 branch and you'll be singing around to 7+k! Music to my ears! 8-) The 1.6 may not be ultimately as powerful or torquey as the XE redtop, but they are a fantastic little engine nonetheless.

Loving the idea of the banded SRI Cavalier steels with some nice low profiles. You're deffinately on to a winner here IMO.

Gotta give you some respect for what you've done to the car what with you're leg still in the cage an all. I still wince when ever I see that, fucking nasty even after all this time. How much longer you got with the cage/pins?

Keep up the good work and take as many progress pics as poss.

Cheers, Richard.

walllllllllshie boy, whats been crackin in camp novay?! i got frisky with the muppet today and as usual broke something, your uncle manage to pull a caliper out of his barn :p

Id love to fit boddies, but dont know if i can afford them :ninja: we`ll see what deals go ahead nearer the time :-D

As for the cage, i have no idea  18 months is up in one month (the time they said it will be on for) but theres no chance it will be healed by then :ninja:

I've got to wait for some results to come back before they can do a bone graft

Hopefully 6 more months......

Will deffo take pics as i go along 8-)

Yousaf, farmer Giles didnt have one in the end  he had a shit load of golf stuff though :-D i got both rear lights inc bulbs and holders and both headlamps for a tenner :lol:8-)

He`s got a four lamp driver grille (with hella spots inc) too if anyone wants it???? i`ll find out a price, will be next to nothing though 8-)

Oh, but i did get another calipay from the scrappy today

I got carried away with golf bits then and forgot to say

Its on, the brakes are bled, and its getting towed to my mates garage tomorrow at 10am :shock::shock:TEN AM  like ten o clock, in the frickin morning :lol::lol:

Hope i wake up :?

I missed out on this,

Nova saloon was something i considered before getting the Mk4, there is one at the top of my road an old lady has owned since i can remeber. Its white tho so it could never pimp as hard as this one, but, it has less doors!

Nice work,

Mike

Dude! get it, white loons PIMP!!! 8-)

I'm thinking of painting mine VAG candy white in the future

Got a few bits done today 8-)

After a lot of fannying about, and hunting for the mystical vanishing MPI pumps of doom  (they take them out to drain the cars when they go into scrappies) i found a nice newish one, in the boot of an Astra :-D

So put that into my newly aquired SPI tank, then took off my original tank (got covered in petrol doing it  ) and fitted the SPI one with MPI pump, just got to wire the pump up to a relay now

Also thought i`d give the bay a little clean :-D i was bored and cold, so kept myself busy

Should be FINALLY starting to put the baby XE in tomorrow - whoop! 8-)

I`ll get as many mincing pics as poss tomorrow during the fitment 8-)

Yeah but the original tank has an advantage, it has extra weapons blocking the lines  screwdrivers :lol:8-)

Nah it wasnt worth trying to half inch it dude, its a bit bulky  i got the whole thing, casing and all. It was only £15 anyway

Deffo take you to feed your chicken habbit :-D its a date, it will hopefully be done for the manc meet on thursday if you fancy it? i`ll come pick you up 8-)

*cough cough* dirty bay *cough cough*

only mesisn mate :ninja::lol: done a erm.. good job there kepe up z work.

so are you screaming about in your corsa powered loon now

Looking good man . Built ropper the way it should be .

Been having a bit of a nightmare trying to get the engine in the bay :lol:

At first we couldnt get the car high enough to push the engine underneath  so we tried to put it in from the top  obviously didnt want to go in that way, so took the inlet off - still caught, took the rad fan off - still caught grrrrrr, took the pulley and engine mounts off while we dropped it in, still wouldnt go in :evil:

So had a bit of head scratch, then bing! dropped the engine and tied the hoist straps to the tie rods and used the hoist to lift the car :-D then used some old steelies to keep the car in the air while we squeezed the engine underneath 8-)

Everything is now bolted in place, just got to get some thicker hose to plumb it in, and get my mate the electrical meister to wire it all up :-D doubt it will be running for the manc meet tomorrow night though :-(

Anyway, as promised - some pics
