1.3 Litre Mk3 (K-reg) Polo Genesis in White

I am not driving this car at the moment, was my daily, but for some reason has started to leak fuel – although this doesn’t come from the bottom of the tank, its coming from much higher up – possibly the filler neck.

It is a Genesis (special edition) – so has a pretty nice interior, and factory fitted tinted windows, - and a factory fitted sunroof!!

Has MOT / Tax (I have only just taxed it for 6 months in Jan), drives nicely – I took it up to Birmingham last week, never once skipped a beat – even in the freezing cold.

Will not take much to sort out, I just don’t have the time at the moment – hence price at £200 ONO - to sell soon!!

I am based in Leicester, and the car will drive (just remember to bring a spare petrol canister!) If you want to come look at it, please let me know.

Good Points:

Nice and tidy interior – all standard except Polo GT clocks (original clocks will come with the car),

Original Black steel wheels. Ok tyres.

Will check mileage – think it is around 108,000

MOT’d until late April (around the 20th) ’08

Taxed until end of June ‘08

Had new alternator 6 months ago (£85.00)

Pulls well, gets up to speed nicely, really nippy little run around.

Low tax / insurance.

Bad points:

Not much service history unfortunately – only a few previous MOT’s

Exterior not bad condition (but not amazing either!), various small rust spots and dents but nothing really concerning. Pretty standard for a polo of this age.

Leaking petrol – not sure why, still drives fine but this is the reason for sale.

would consider £160! I'm taking some photos tonight, so they'll be up tomorrow.

Drove it about 25 miles last night and didn't run out of fuel - so leak must be higher up the tank, it's running fine really - just don't put any more than a tenners worth of fuel in it!! :-D

Slight bump on the nearside wing - would prob pull out ok, but front of wing is slightly damaged (although this was done way before I had the car) - I just didn't see the point in sorting it.

The grill rail is also slightly rusted - I have been keeping a look out for a new rail at the scrappy's, but not seen one yet unfortunately.

OK, looks like either the head gasket is on its way out, or the water pump has gone, cos its is overheating.

It still drives and runs exactly the same, but overheats properly after being on the road for about 40 minutes.

SOOO, 100 squids in my hand takes it away for parts or repair. (Before the scrappy man gets it)

Still MOT'd util late April, and Taxed until end of June, still a nippy little beaut too.

Let me know ASAP if you want it, the car is currently situated in Leicester, about 15 mins walk from the train station.

you got any more info on the overheating prob. and you sure thats the only thing wrong. consider £75 for it?

Needs to sell soon - neighbours getting annoyed!!! (there is minimal parking as it is!)

Free can of petrol and bottle of water (to get you home) to the first one who buys it!!! :-D
