Thinking of a new paint job

Featured Replies

Having recently seen someone with a matt green paint job on their 6n i thought it looked awesome and was debating doing something similar on mine. I was thinking of doing a matt green camo paint job.

A few questions though,

1. do you think it will look good?

2. where can i get such paint from?

3. has anyone seen this done before on a 6n?

1. It probably will look very good, if done correctly and professionally.

2. Its next to the tartan paint at any paint store.

3. Nope, never seen it done before dude. Go for it.

Thanks for the answer on number 2.... i realise a stupid question deserves a stupid answer I was just asking as i haven't been able to find any matt green paint anywhere

Lol sorry mate, couldn't resist.

Best person(s) to ask would be the people with camo green cars... I cant remember where I saw the recent thread though now...

they sell matt and satin in green, black, brown, sand, etc etc etc on ebay. Few peeps have used it so give it a try!!

The ebay shop is called fascinating finishes.

Cheap too so whats the worst that could happen?

A can of dr pepper could explode in my face?

but seriously too true i'll buy 6 or 7 cans off there and see how far it takes me. This is going to be interesting i can tell!

cant get much better than that really. i used the black stuff when we handpainted my van n fuck it it was indestructable, you could run a key down it and it put the lightest scratch ever. we didnt prime it or anything we just slapped it on with rollers n paintbrushes n it didnt peal or anything. its really good n we only used about a quarter a tin so if u do ever need to touch it up u usually have about 3litres left lol

Do it!!!

Your putting ideas into my head... now I'm thinking of that stone colour :p

EDIT: Go for it dude, you cant go wrong with flat paints tbf. I'm wanting satin blue but not 100% sure..

well i did all the rollering n it come out so smooth cos your sposed to add a shit load of thinners to it but we didnt so it was real thick and just set smooth, almost self levelled itself! but then my mates whose car it was at the time decided to go over it with theb rush to rough it all up but using the roller it was a REALLY smooth finish,.

nice that sounds like exactly what i'm after. Is it an internet only affair or is there any sort of local shops i could get it from? i prefer to use shops that ordering over the internet thats all

As said buy one_must_fall "DO IT"

go for it matey...cant wait to see the outcome : )

alright there,

sounds like we both have a similar idea,

I'm after a polo mk4, and planning a respray in nato green and then then it will have a twist of rat, best place i have found for the paint is on ebay, this one seems a bit of a deal but 20ltrs is huge! if you fancy going halfs for it sounds good to me!,

keep us updated with what you do,

thanks

rich,

DO IT! Seen it on a mini it looks amazing. Theres also a little rover goes round my town, if I see it I'll ask where they got it done / how it was done. Think they were to advertise a new shop in town.

I painted a Civic red camo in Forza cos I was fed up of the general Hondaness of it.

Tiger camo anyone?
