I had a 1.6 Driver mk2. Couldn't fault it. Good car, only cost me £150 to!

am acutally considerin a mk2 golf as the next motor, there a mint white 3door 16v gti on pistonheads....and to say am tempted is a understatement!

Mk2 GTD! Its my daily driver - had it 2 years and put 50K on it! May not be as quick in a straight line as my G40, but round corners and general point to point driving it is actually as fast to chuck the GTD round as it is to drive my g40! Timed myself in both cars on the run to work and the GTD took 3 minutes LESS than the G40!

1.6 Td with about 90-100bhp and between 38mpg - 55mpg depending on how you drive it!
