thats not true, if the companies particularily pissed off with you they can call a truck out with picks the car up by gripping the wheels and will take it to a secure compund!

they slide something uder the car then like ropes round it and lift it seen it a few times

you can legally take a clamp off on private land as long as you don't damage it

i'v done it let the tyre down jack the car up then it may slide off if not move it out the way as best you can and undo the wheel bolts and take the wheel off

i kept the clamp until i heard from them 3 years later i still had it so gave it my mate to use on his trailer :)

if you dont like clampers move to scotland its agenst the law to clamp a car hear..

Iv read somewhere that if you can get the clamp off without damadging it and hand it in to your local polie station as lost property theres no legal come back they can do!
