my vans on a 55plate and got 120k miles still a baby yet :)

my uncles work jeep was on a 55 plate an had 145k :) this was before xmas,

I saw an '07 plate vectra with 156k on it at a dealer! I couldn't believe it... i thought my dad doing 50k in a year was good going :o

^^ bloody hell....apparently the black cabs are more than capable of donig over 1million miles

Possible, yeah, but most have transit engines in, so 500k's pushing it.

IIRC - its the Perkins/Nissan engines that'll do 1,000,000 miles

Sorry, was thinking of Metrocabs, I don't doubt it on those.

have a golf mk2 with a 1600 straight diesel over a million miles on the engine, originally out of a transporter panel van, car has 301k on it but due to be scrapped engine shall live on, may add its had 3 rebuilds dureing its life 2 while we owned it.

Nice to know!

My P-plater's done 140k so far and I'd expect another 60k trouble free miles before the 4th timing belt's due.

Wonder what the record for a normally aspirated VAG 1.9D is, or the highest mileage head gasket...?

I had one on 180K, but I determined the block was cracked and sold it back to the person I bought it off
