you and me alike. I'm not insured on it at the moment so I am getting mates with traders policies to ferry it about.

Feel sorry for the poor bastard that has to drive it to get the geometry set up. Horrendous torque steer with the car crabbing all over the place

Car is still on the ramps so haven't driven it yet but the whole set up looks very purposeful.

Will be hard to give a true comparison since the H&R kit is going on at the same time but looks promising. Apparently its an almost identical set up to lower set up on Caterhams.

There really is no chance in hell you can fit the frame at home. The general movement in a 15 year old chasis means your never going to get it on first time. Few holes had to be elongated and ended up shaving down that nut we talked about.

That looks well cool... :) I find the under side of cars alot more interesting than pictures of body work.. :)

How much did you elongate the holes by.... I'd be abit concerned about the straightness of your chassis if it's more than a few mm

When you hung the frame up to paint the holes lost their circular shape. Most of the filing was just wasting away the paint. I only had to file away metal for on hole.

Mine was fitted on a garage floor with the car on axle stands.

grrrr 'mine was fitted on a hill side twas minus 5 with a few bricks to get the car up on one side then i used my chest under the wheel for the other side, slid the frame into place'. grrr

I forgot to mention - I had one hand tied behind my back, and used my teeth instead of tools.

car need the geometry set up badly. 14" steelies are a temp as my Loon is borrowing the G's wheels

these are mk3 golf steels. 14x6 et 45.

offset means the rears are extremely close to the sprign cupd

Mk2 Golf GTI or Driver steels are that size, as are some Mk3 Golf steels. Mk2 are ET38 and I believe Mk3 are ET43. Tuck look ftw!
