MK4 Polo - 3door untouched 1998 / R Reg

Featured Replies

Make:

Volkswargen

Model:

Polo 3 Door

Year/Reg:

1998 / R Reg

Mileage:

200miles off 91k (at time posted, this is my daily car)

MOT:

Around 6 Months left (can double check)

Tax:

Tax is out at the end of March (but can tax for buyers expence)

Good points:

Starts first time everytime, bought it before Xmas off a woman who used it as a daily also, My reason for selling is that petrol is too costly as I've racked up nearly 5k in 3months so need to get a turbo desil or something with better mpg than 40.

The wheels are a month old and immaculate apart from one which has a very small scuff and the tyres have done about 3k now.

I've also got the steelies with very good tread (but there looking a tad rusty as usual)

FSH and all log books ect... has had a good life with only 2 previous owners, well looked after - cambelt was changed at 85k (off the top of my head) past the last mot with flying colours.

Very smooth runner and can get 41mpg if you keep your revs around 3k... averages 30-35mpg.

Inside is VERY tidy, Nice dark trim, Seats are as new apart from the side of the drivers seat is wearing from getting in and out.

All totally standard apart from.

Aero Wipers (fully working originals can be included) and some Infinity Referance Speakers in the Doors (with small tweakers neatly installed in the doorcards)

Wipers and Speakers are less than a month old.

The car has had a smooth life, and has always been left to warm up and then driven softly as I'm tight when it comes to shelling out on petrol.

It shines up nice and will be a shame to go but I cant justify spending this much on petrol when I could be running a desil on veg oil.

Bad points:

None other than a few spots of rust apearing (surface rust) on corners of the door and there is a dint in the rear bumper (no paint damage) and a dint where the bump strips would be near the drivers door which has lost some paint and is getting a bit of surface rust (about the size of 1/2 a mars bar).

On a good note, all this was like this when I bought the car 4months back and hasnt got any worse.

Location:

Car can be viewed in Staffordshire or the Lake District.

Price:

I'm after £1650 with both sets of wheels or -£400 (taking off the wheels and steel nuts and locking nuts) leaving you with the steelies.
