we haven't received the v5 for my girlfriends car yet and we bought the car about a month ago, beginning to get worried!

What do you think i should do? ring DVLA? haven't got the guys number any more, do know where he lives though.

Ring the DVLA.

i had the same problem with the v5 not arriving for mine... dvla's number is online and they told me the person i bought the car off hasnt sent the old logbook... u may have to apply for one urself instead

Have you got the new keeper section?

If not you may have problems.

If you have then you have a leg to stand on.

Hopefully it is just taking a long time to process.

If not you can chase up the V5 document through the DVLA using the vehicle registration. The DVLA will ask the former owner to verify that it has been sold and to who, when ect. This is the twist, if you don't have the V5 it could get tricky, if you do have the new keeper slip then you're likely to be produced with a new V5 from the DVLA once it has been presented and confirmed that the vehicle was sold to you by the former owner.
