best insurance company for a learner

Featured Replies

I'm learning to drive [i'm 17 at the moment] and i want to know what the best insurance company is to insure either a 1998 1.0 Mk4 Polo.

my mom has agreed for me to look into either of these cars, but only if the insurance is cheap.

if the insurance is expensive as I've only got a provisional, I've got no probably with classing it as off the road and putting it back on the road and insuring it when I've passed.

any help with this would be extremely handy.

I'd have thought a 1L polo must already be pretty close to the bottom of the insurance food chain?

I spose you could get a moped, that ought to be a bit cheaper!

the 1.0l polo ids in insurance group 3 so its not tht far dowm the food chain!!!

I'm payin 1100 on a gt in my own name and I'm 18 0ncb

if you haven't passed yet, go with direct line. you keep your no claims aswell, and mine was only £500 a year on a 04 plate ford ka, but obviously that was on a named driver, which you still get no claims for. but when i passed i stayed with direct line, and upgraded my insurance (so id passed) and it was £1300 on a 1993 mk3 1.0l polo! they arent to bad actually...

yer i found that direct line is the cheapest for me so far but if you mod your car they dont rely want to know until you have about 4-5 years driving experiance, but then agen quinns wanted about 3700! so either way your probaly going to pay a shed load keep trying i am! :retard:
