Very weak car aerial signal help!!!

i have recently fitted a jvc headunit in my car and the aerial signal is very weak. its not the area i live in because when i try my dads car the signal is very strong

anyone have ideas how i can improve

I believe the mk4 are amped ariels, when oyu fit a new head unit, if you dont get the adapter for the apmed arieal, it actually blocks the signal more

you need to buy an aerial booster mate, if you search ebay u'll discover that vag vehicles need this after installing an aftermarket radio...

iv got the same problem with the 6n2 will this fit for the 6n2? how is it powered?

aieral boosters are available at halfords for about 10 - 13 quid. they are fitted inline between your stereo and car arial and have a seperate wire for power which just needs to be joined to your remote lead. usually blue

I'm already using the remote lead for the amp, how else do i connect it?

scotch block/splice. join it to that one aswell. no harm having both connected to the same remote lead.

meh my radio signal is shit :lol: but i have got a aftermarket head unit and a rusty bullet for a ariel :lol:

lol, exactly, especially local stations, advertising windows & doors etc all day long. ha

and radio 1, dont get me started on that shit.
