calm down chap

Hhahahaha!

i am not a fan of new bwm small cars (there not a MINI) there fat now its like they built em for people that had em in the 60's now there fat they made the car bigger so they would feel better LOL

theres no such as small cars any more (at least not if they are gonna be any good in crash tests). at least if you crash a new mini you have a good chance of keeping your legs

oh and sorry, not really a fan of that gold one above.

but it clearly appeals to a scene (just not one that i'm fond of :( )

THIS is how i'd like to have a new mini (pic shamelessly blagged from ED38 forum

its amazing how almost EVERY car looks so much more awesome with just a drop and some wheels. no need for any extra plastic imo :D

I always think to get away with just rims and dropping the car needs to have the ride height and the wheels sorted well.

Like they stick out just the right amount, the tyres fit nicely, the ride height is spot on.

You see to many cars on here with its arsehole dropped on the floor, front end right up and messed up offsets/widths and it just looks poop.

But that is a pretty damn sweet Mini. I really like Olis Grey S on LM's. Especially with that US bumper he had.

That mini is pretty sweet!

I think most people say it isn't a mini anymore as it's so big. Not because of who owns it etc

wow this looks amazing! where was this found and whats it running ?(wheels and suspension wise i mean)

The real mini wasnt called a mini until the public named it the mini. It was the same car, with the same engine, for 40 years. Its a part of british heritage and history. The BMW is a completely different car,and being the weight of a Ford Sierra,is 240 percent the weight of the first minis. So it needs double the power. But its a great modern car in its own right! Shame it has a stolen name, really.

interior is nice, but i dont like the look of the car...

this is a lot better... looks smart.

new mini's are alright, but there not exactly minis any more are they...

:(

i like them, bit of a fanny mobile tbh but they're alright

had a go in my mates cooper S and crapped my pants lol

my diving instructer had one it wernt a 's' or a desiel, i think it was a 1.6 wasnt to bad to drive. it had a good solid feel to it but as said befor gearbox is well clunky but a good car. still dont like it tho

Cooper s and the new s which are turbo i think? are both overated muck, i have played with john cooper works minis in my polo, although they are growin on me from time to time n gotta love the eaton

I've driven a cooper s. that are extremely fast, but the gearbox is a bit clonky, and i find the windscreen is a bit small. thats about it!

what do you drive? in comparison. I've heard they arn't owt to shout about for the money.

New Mini = Nice looking car

New New Mini = Ruined, utterly horrid

I would have a Mini Cooper S at the drop of a hat.

I would have a Mini Cooper S at the drop of a hat.

Me too. And by the time the hat hit the floor it'd already be modified.

Same engine as the 207 GTI:

The Cooper D has the same 110bhp 1.6 HDI as the C2 VTS Diesel, 308 and others.

In standard form, the eatoned Cooper S's really arent much to shout about in terms of straight line performance, you have to thrash the living crap out of them to get anywhere.

The one I drive is coming up to 70k now and still feels solid though.

I've also driven a 235bhp Works one with Yoko Paradas instead of the shitty Runflats, different car completely.

With a few mods they can be good cars, can chuck them about a fair bit too.

I'm really not a fan, I think that they are ugly cars, but I have heard lots of people say how good they are to drive. I love old mini's, and cannot see how they have any of the charm that the old ones have

my next car WILL be a new mini (pre facelift) i think they're awesome looking cars and had a go in one (only a 1.4) but it was fun to drive still and ticked all the right boxes for me.

Would only have one if it was slammed on coilies and had a Gulf paint scheme...

Or maybe just standard if I wasnt paying lol

New New Mini = Ruined, utterly horrid

They both look the same
